It's funny you mention this. The handful of confirmed #8 failures (those who've posted pictures and further information I consider "confirmed" while those who go into hiding when asked for more data I consider trolls) are related to just tunes; out of the several blown 5.0's out there, I don't think I've seen one failure that could be blamed on one of Ford's components (Terry "Beefcake" Reeves blew his blown 5.0L due to a faulty, aftermarket 02 sensor or something like that). If there were going to be a catastrophic engine failure, I figure it would have been Lethal Performance and the 2.9L Whipple-augmented 5.0 they beat the absolute crap out of; or the guy with the 2.3L Whipple at 12.5 psi that's running 9's! He isn't exactly easy on his car, either. As the poster said earlier, if you're going to void your warranty, you might as well go all in with a supercharger which seems to be the safer bet at this time.

I hope you right lol.....you know what's funny, I always mod my cars like this but never really utilize them like they should. I have had this car for over a year and have just 3k on the odometer. I really don't even plan on racing it at all. I fell in love with one of my buddies terminators a while back when I was sporting my 95. The sound of the blower, and the pulling sensation, I knew I wanted one. I'm gonna try to be there to video the pulls and maybe I can post them. I am fully prepared to drop the dough on the short block, but I hope I can get 12-15k miles outta this, which would be about five years at the rate I'm driving..lol.

Well Lund tuned it today...even with it being hot and humid today the car made 570rwhp and 486ft/lb of torque with a conservative tune. I drove the car home and all i can say is that the car pulls like a raped ape..its pretty incredible. Here are some pics...i will post some better ones when i have a second. the last pic is of the lines going to the boss oil cooler which i think is a pretty safe upgrade.

Congrats man. Those are some good numbers. Just better edit them out before the Boss guys see them.

I was pretty light on it on the way home but I was cruising around 75 in sixth, I I just slowly down shifted in fourth n rolled into full throttle.....it was quite nice to say the least. It pulls so hard so fast....me likey.

Man, that is absolutely bada**! Whipple's beast of a supercharger plus Lund's tuning expertise is a combination I wish I could drive on a daily basis! Congratulations, man!

How much boost are you running, by the way?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you're at 10 pounds of boost as per your signature. Sorry.

It's the 10lb pulley but with the long tubes I'm really only seeing 9lb.

How does it sound? Also curious what the dyno graph looks like . . . how's that torque curve?

It sounds great. I actually was hoping the blower was a little louder, but it does whine pretty good when getting into it. my exhaust is also pretty loud so its hard to hear it over that. I will have the dyno sheet this week. I got to see it done personally, i just have to get fred to email it to me.
