Equipment-wise, the 13 is better. The question is if it's enough better to justify changes that you might not like.

My personal opinion- the '10-'12 cars, while still agressive looking and sculpted, are much more tasteful and understated. The design has a few sore spots but it is easily one of the best looking cars of our era. Meanwhile, the '13 style makes it look like the designers didn't have confidence in the design...so they just added more visual features to compensate...like putting fender vents on a Civic or ""Alteza" style clear tail lights on...anything.

I do like the '13s...I'd love to have the Torsen rear end and the Recaro seats...the Track Apps are cool...but if this was the car that they were selling when I ordered my 2011, there's a very good chance that I would be driving a Challenger R/T with the Super Track Pack.

I have an 07 GT, and it is by far the greatest car I have ever owned. I did not care for the rear design on the 2010....and I do not particularly care for the front design on the 2013...that being said, if I had the money to purchase a 2011-2013 GT with the 5.0, I would do it in a heartbeat. But, at the end of the day, I am happy with my 07!

I have an '11 GT and think it looks better in the front and the rear

the front of the '13 has too much going on with the big openings under the headlamps, blunted nose of the Shelby and the flat vented(cheesy) hood. the '10-'12 nose and hood bulge look much meaner and leaner (less is more), either with the fogs or deleted fogs with a CS front valance

the rear of the '13 also became just a big, blocky piece of paint, if there is that much material then chopping it up with the black diffuser on the '10-'12 minimized it. i am ambiguous about the tail lamps, they are just different

IMO the '10-'12 body looks coiled and ready to fire, the '13 like a block of wood with the pointy ends rounded off

I'm a 2010 GT500 owner and I dont mind what ford did to the GT. I personally dont like the two fog lights in the grill on the '13 GT. just looks like they dont belong. I also am not a fan of the vents or fake vents down on the lower bumper. I like how the shelby's have the fog lights down low. My favorite look on a gt is still a '10-'12 with a roush front bumper (again, fan of the fog lights down low).

I actually do not like the new splitter on the '13 shelby's. and with the lower side moldings being painted body color, the front splitter looks out of place. I do however love the quad exhaust out back!!! im hoping there will be a new rear splitter that someone will make for the '10-'12 cars that will allow for quad tips. I'd love to get that look on my shelby!

I think ford just guaranteed that the '11-'12's with the 5.0 will be even more desired as the car ages.

I believe that the 13 add on trimming is a good move by Ford for sales. The general public and people who are not mustang enthusiasts appreciate the extra fake vents and styling cues. Just look at the competition (a cool body shape with cuts and crap all over it). The mustang loyalists appreciate the more basic styling of the 10-12 but Ford needs more than just the loyalists. They need new blood and the 13 refresh trimmings should bring a few more in. I personally prefer the 13 front end except for those dumb headlamps. Sales should reflect in a positive way. The 5.0 was exciting but it was downplayed by very bland body styling. IMO. Can't wait to see if this was a good move by Ford. I think that it was.

well if what you're saying is true about who it will attract get ready for the complaints by the boatload, just like the refined 5.0 got when all the non-Mustangers thought it would be cool to own one

can't shift gears...
what's that noise...
the car's underpowered...i think
too hot, too cold, too hard...

you sure Ford made a good move by ricing it up

At the end of the day, sales are all that matter. And you have to admit, that front end is sexy. 10-12 and 13 tail lights are still fugly.

I hear ya. I'm on stang #4. But I won't hesitate crossing brands if there is more to offer over there. I still think mine is one of the best looking stangs ever. But that's my opinion.

Maybe. I am targeting the V6 pony package. But 2013 V6 pony package isn't as goodlooking as 2012. The rear light isn't cheer me up neither.

The other feature update is very good though. I do like new GT/CS style and love Shelby and GT500, but I can't afford them. Maybe I should change my mind to 2013 MCA. I believe that would be the one better than 2012 in V6 line.

I like the new redesign, but other than GT500 rear end, I don't see anything that makes me go "wow I wish my car had that."

I completely agree and had the same thought of the new front end appealing more to the non mustang enthusiasts. I also have a feeling Ford said what the hell, why not, and threw in the gt500 front end knowing it would attract more customers all the while doing this before they come out with the complete redesign in 2015 which will hopefully attract even more customers. Smart move

I drive an '05 and love it. I loved the '10 when that came out still love it. But the '13 is a winner for me.

All 3 styles stand alone as great designs..............just as all the great classic Mustangs do. Is a '67 better than a '66? A '70 better than a '69? There is no right answer because beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we'll all have our favourites.

Funny though....when the '10 was first launched, the forums were alive with complaints of "mutton chops", "ugly black plastic cladding at the bottom", "full diaper" etc.......and yet 3 years later that's all forgotten. Well, Ford was listening and acted on all of those.

Both of the cars below are achingly gorgeous.........but it'd be the School Bus Yellow one in my garage (alongside my '05 )

I agree.

I'm not a fan of the 2010+ GT500 snout but the rest of the car looks fine. I'll hold judgement on the new tail lights until I see them in person. Ford must keep moving forward and they are doing a fine job. The 2013 GT500 with 650 hp and 202 mph is KILLER!

Sure about that?

You'll never see me driving a diapermobile mustang.
