Well.................is anyone standing outside the gates at AAI to watch the GTs roll out ?

 

My GT500 was built on 04/12/2010, striped and finished on 04/14/2010. (cleared from the striping shop). According to Ford, as of today, its still not been shipped as it has no rail car number assigned. Bet its one of those we saw sitting on the AA lot. Even if it gets a rail car number soon, it has to go from Flatrock, Mi to Jessup, Md., get off-loaded and on a transporter to my dealer in Mt. Airy. AAAHHHH!!! The wait is getting hazardous to my health!

Might consider checking with your dealer to make sure it's ready to be queued for order and they didn't do something silly like leave it at Priority 99 or something.

 

I ordered mid February and have no VIN yet either. Seems like a lot of people here have that issue.

 

Did the factory restart production yet?

 

He means no go on the GT's, right? I heard the V6's were shipping last week.

 

Yes. Just the GTs. GT500s and V6s are all shipping.

they said everything is fine with the order.. unfortunatly i know more than they do thanks to this site..

he wasnt sure what the 6199 is but saw it on the order.

im wondering if the fact i have brembo's ordered is part of the delay.

this site is a great source of information.. im glad i found it..
but unfortunatly its a great source of stress as well..

 

Ahh, the Brembos probably are delaying it. Pretty much every performance enthusiast buying a Mustang are ordering it with Brembos, so it may be a little slower for us. Hopefully though Ford will just increase their order if need be and there won't be any significant bottlenecking.

 

Mine doesn't have Brembos and its still hasn't shipped, so it's not the brakes delaying them. Since everything else has shipped but GT's , I would assume its something with the 5.0 - hopefully small. But only Ford knows for sure.

 

Oh, I meant just general delay, not the reason for the hold, the hold has gotta be something common to all GTs.

 

My brembo car is being built today, so I don't think it's the brembos.

 

Just got off the 800 number. rep said mine was released, ETA went from 4/10 now 4/29. Was updated in the system 4/24, so hopefully this is for real this time. May acutally be at the track this Friday for Test and Tune.

Ordered a V6 convertible on March 5. Priority Code is now 01. Ford 800 number says it's "in order -- processing." No VIN.

Still waiting . . . this weekend it's supposed to be mid-70s and sunny . . .
