Haven't heard a thing yet here in North Carolina. But it's good to know the replacements are out there.

Really? I received a notice in the mail a couple weeks ago advising me to call my dealer and set up an appointment to have the crash bag replaced. I haven't called yet since the car is stored and will be until April. I suppose I should call to see what they have to say.

Wow, I'm feeling taken advantage of. I took mine in last week, it took them over 6 hours. Got the car to them at 09:30am and didn't get it back until about 4:15pm. They did say that they just got the parts in and hadn't done many of them, plus they were "busy" (even though I had an appointment.)

Just like others said though, yes, they do replace the entire steering wheel center cap on the 13-14.

I had mine done back in October. I took mine(2011) in for some general stuff on last Thursday and they said the passenger side bag was coming down the pipe. They said parts weren't in yet, but I will most likely be getting a letter soon.

It has been awhile since the 2013/14 recall started. 5-28-2015

I not sure when the 05/09 recall started.

I'm starting to get really irritated with this, I've been waiting 1.5 years and no parts anywhere on the horizon.

Far as I know June is still the new Q4 from last year, but I am very serious about wanting to trade the car this spring. With a Mustang, I only have maybe between April and July to get good money for it on trade, so I'm getting pretty ****ing irritated at this point. Other people got theirs done a year ago. Legally a dealer can sell a used car with an open recall, but I bet some dealers won't want it and they will all try to dick me on trade as a result, even if they still plan on selling it for full retail.

They aren't going to make & replace 70 million airbag in 1 year.
Relax & have some patience. Oh my gosh...
I get it, but patiently waiting 1.5 years and counting probably qualifies as having patience, which is now understandably wearing thin, because it likely means keeping the car another year+, regardless of how my vehicular needs change. I've been waiting since late summer 2015.

Nobody likes feeling trapped in a vehicle.

I just realized you're in MN. Which dealer?

So far I've called three (Apple Valley, Shakopee, Freeway), none have them.

.

Eden Prairie Ford. I haven't called them yet. I will when I get the car out this spring. I'm a firm believer in, "expect norhing and you'll never be disappointed'. If they don't have a bag for me when I call, first question is when. If the answer is not acceptable, they better be wearing asbestos underwear.

Have you actually found out about trade- on values? Takata issues are common enough that j doubt it affects it that much, especially at a Ford dealer.

Thanks, I gave them a ring this morning and sure enough they had the parts, and were able to do it today. Just got home, took about 30 minutes, so this is finally done.

Ha! You probalby got MY bag...now I'll have to wait! I kid. Honestly I could care less! If the bag goes off and mames me, guess I'll start my retirement career early on Ford and or Takata.

Yes - it is terrible. It looks like it explodes because it cannot vent fast enough. The TRW design is a huge improvement.
