AdvanceTrac Question

Was curious what mode everybody run theirs in and why.

I've been running with it on but have read that sport mode is better but still gives you some help.

Does anybody run it completely off (Holding it for 5 seconds until it shuts off)? I've been a bit leery of doing that as I might have too much fun...

I leave mine on - it leaves enough leeway for fun, but keeps me out of the ditch.

I tracked my S2000 at Summit Point several times and I did the Keith Code Superbike School at VIR so I'm not a total track noob.

I leave TC/SC ON. A big torque/HP can jump right out of your hands in the blink of an eye. Besides, even with TC/SC on it still lets the car wiggle around a little bit.

How do you get into Sport Mode? I tried pressing the button twice slow and fast and it just turns TCS on and off.

Foot on the brake standing still then double tap, hold 5 secs if you want advanced trac OFF which disables TC and ESC, sport keeps tc and ESC on but they allow more leeway. Tc off keeps ESC on.

Double tap the brake or the TCS button on the center stack? I had my foot on the brake standing still and double tapped the TCS button but it just turns TCS off then AdvanceTrac on?

If is at least 60F and dry outside, Sport Mode. Otherwise Normal Mode for me.

Am I the only one that find that Sport Mode gives you just a little better throttle response? I think is just placebo effect but I like it anyways.

I figured they would, maybe not though.

Try more than just double tapping, but yes the TC button not the brakes.

First thing I do after I start my car is disable the TCS completely. The only time I leave it on is if it is raining.

Normal driving a get in and go.
Mountain runs I put it in sport mode depending on the temp.
Track days I turn it all off.

To try saving you in case of a emergency. You know, you are not the only driver on the road. There are stupid drivers out there, animals can cross in front of you, things fall off, s$&@t happens...even to the best drivers

Look at the user manual it'll tell u step by step

U never tap brake pedal twice for anything

Unless the vehicle was in transport mode then the technician would unlock it

Yes. You don't have to be stopped to activate it, just touch the brake and double tap the TCS button. You will see it on the message center.

Yes. I believe it's only for Brembo and V6 PP cars.

there is no reason to have it fully off even at the track(unless your Tokyo drifting) There are a lot of racers that have had their car saved from hitting the wall at the track by sport mode "nannies". As for the street look up on YouTube and check out all the crashes by people who fully turned it off, especially corvette drivers. Besides sport mode lets you spin the tires all day long but catches you if you go too far sideways ONLY so seriesly are you guys drifting on the streets
