well to cruise over is a few hours drive away and a city in which I am unfamilar with so a good test drive may not happen. I know it`s subjective but i figurered there were enough gear heads on here that have tested out both.

May want to compare the 5.0 to the L99 which also has VVT although tuning and performance mods for the '99 have yet to really surface and it's only available with the auto trans which doesn't exactly help bolster it's performance.

speaking of the boss302, livernois automatic with ported heads, frpp intake should be really close to the red key BOSS302 power level. its 441rwhp.
the boss has bigger cams also. the boss in race ready should exceed 441rwhp with full bolt ons. IMO.
