No, it was more directed at the people judging the son by the purchase of a material object, which is not the measure of a good son.

 

All my sons are good son's I would not love them more or rather I should say could not love them less for any reason. I don't hold what they could do for me as being the parent its all about making sure I raise them to the best of my abilities and would jump at a moments notice if they were in harms way to avert the harm to them. That said it would appreciate a gift from my son but not expect... But it does speak volumes that the parents raised their son well for him to give back after all the parents do that now a days is taken so much for granted by so many in this world.
