Almost 11000 miles now, still runs like a raped ape

1 problem so far and that was minor...SYNC went out, pulled fuse, problem solved.

Any thoughts on this?
You won't lose any torque...just changes the sound. Don't think it has any effect on flow.

Thats what I'm hoping for. Doesn't resonator delete mean straight pipe though? A bit of torque loss in exchange for upper hp gain, and possibly drone in the cabin? or so did the guy at this one shop was telling me...not to do it.

I wanted the axle back that sound naturally aggressive, not too overly loud. The tone and the volume AT COLD START on these gt500 ab's seem just perfect for my taste, and want to KEEP THIS tone/vol through out the drive.

Sometimes I find myself ironic listening to youtube clips of Roushes and Borlas thinking "woo that sounds nice but those are too loud?!"

I still have less than 1k on mine and it is by far the best Mustang I have ever owned.
Don't bother with the GT500 axle backs not much difference then stock. If you really want to wake that Mustang up, get you some "R-O-U-S-H" Axle Backs.

Almost got the GT500 axlebacks till I got the deal on the SLP Loudmouths, love how aggressive they sound on a stock motor, cant wait to get cams and headers! Great review! Now get some really good tires like Michelin Pilot Super Sports and really see what a corner is like!

See, I love the GT500's because when you're driving around town, they're relatively quite (louder than stock, but not annoying). But when you get on it, they ROAR! I don't need to be loud all the time. I am probably in the minority though when it comes to that...

I have the Roush axle-backs and love them. They roar like crazy when you push it and have a great tone and loud sound when driving around town, but are actually pretty quiet when in the lower RPM. This is great for highway driving and I can change the way I drive around town if I want to be a little more respectful and cruise in the higher gear, lower RPM around town.

It's really all in how you drive it. If I want the attention (I get enough anyway with the GT premium convertible) I can get it on it an it will roar obnoxiously. The gurgle when getting off the accelerator or downshifting is pretty sweet too. Of course it always gets me grinning like a kid!

It's the only mod I have done so far and I am loving it.

I wish the Borla S's weren't twice the price.
