245/45/19 on a 9.5"?

Anyone running the stock 245's on a 9.5" wheel?
I'm going to replace the rims on the gt/cs I have coming in and I would like to run a 9.5"/11" setup. I have done some research and it appears some 245's will fit but just wanted to see if anyone has ran this setup with a stock tire. I'd like to only have to buy rear tires if possible.

they will fit but they will look "off" as the side walls will be stretched a bit past the tread width. You'll lose that squared look too the tire. When I got my new "bullet" style rims for my 05 I bought 17x9s and had the stock 235/55-17s put on them and got the same result. However going a bit wider looks fine, I have the 19x9 "nickle" rims on my 2012 and I just went from the stock 255/40-19 to 275/35-19s and they look great.

Needs to update my pic!

Some 245's are not the stock Pirelli P Zero A/S tires. Pirelli does not recommend anything wider that 9.0". While they may fit on a 9.5" wheel, I would never recommend or suggest anyone do this. You are risking the tire bead unseating with a sudden loss of tire pressure when going narrower or wider than the recommend wheel width.

The only reason I am a stickler regarding this is due to training from BFGoodrich and Michelin years back in my 20's. There are good reasons they come up with wheel widths for each tire, and you would be wise to heed any specific manufacturers tire specifications. Sidewall and bead construction differs from tire to tire, and manufacturer to manufacturer.

Just because Brand "B" says their 245/45/19 tires will fit a 9.5" wheel safely does not mean the Brand "A" will without issues or risks.

Which is exactly why I asked if anyone has done this.
