My point is for the size of the engine and price the times for the v6 are not much slower than the older v8's...

Does the leather seats have a more firm or better padding compared to the cloth seats. Are the leather seats a more firm and comfortable seat compared to the cloth seats. I'm wondering if the padding in the cloth seats is a less quality padding and less firm compared to the leather seats.

I think its funny how people continue to sleep on the 11+ V6. It has come a long way and my previous stangs were a '04 GT & 08 GT and my '14 'V6 is faster than both! Back to the OP original post I hope you get it worked out and let us know what happens.

I like how this thread went from someone wanting to know how to abuse their car so they can look cool for their "bros".

To me making a silly comment about V6's...

To the V6 guys chiming in and getting butt hurt about it.

THE INTERNET IS SERIOUS!

I just ordered a V6! After reading some of these posts, I feel like I won't be able to outrace a 40 year old Pinto or Yugo once it arrives.

I was sad when I found out that my CS was just a Performance Pack V6 with some stripes and a 5.0..

Lazy Ford... It even has sequential tail lights... Lame.

ALSO, when I rev in neutral and put it into gear it waits till the RPM's go all the way down to apply any power. This is really pissing me off that I am being robbed of all this power that I paid for. I am strongly regretting not getting the standard. Is there any way to bypass this without getting it tuned? I am leasing so I don't even think I am allowed to do that. I had more fun driving my 98 Civic HX standard than this car cause at least I could peal out really well.
You're doing it wrong. My '12 V6 will burn the tires completely off if I let it, and I'[m talking about very sticky 140 tread wear tires. Do this:

0) Turn off advance trac (hold brake down, and press the advance trac button until tach shows "AdvanceTrac Off".

1) Turn off hill assist (the button on the side of the shifter).

When you want to take off, just let the car idle normally, and when you're ready to take off, lift off the break, and floor the throttle. You will get the wheel spin you're looking for.

When you turn the car off, the computer will automatically return the nanny settings to their over-protective values.

BTW, putting more responsive gears in your car will help. I have 3.73's.

That's not a problem. My 3.7 is quite responsive to throttle.

It's most likely OP has 2.73 gears.
Just don't forget that with the newer mustangs, Ford has the engine setup to open the valves more the more aggressive the drive. You'd need to do some mods to get more power down off the line, and a tune would definitely help. Best bang for your buck is a gear swap however.

Can't compare the 2011 & 12 to 2013 & 14. Ford changed the transmission. It has nothing to do with TCS or Advanced Track. The torque management in the transmission tune prevents you from getting over 2,000 rpm trying a brake stand.

So the 13 and 14 hold back more than the 11-12 due to fuel economy expectations?
