Hi Guys,

I did some experiments to reduce the gas consumption and changed my driving style greatly. I reduced the gas consumption from 20 L/100 Km to 16 L/100Km.

What i did is by changing gears as soon as possible and kept the RPM under 2000. I normally went to sixth gear before reaching 70 KM/H.

What do you guys think about this strategy? Is it good for engine to shift gears early possible ?

As long as you're not pulling away from a stoplight or stop sign in 4th, you should be fine.

I have a 2013 V6 auto and a 2012 V8 manual. I put a CAI, larger throttle body and an sct tune. I am getting a few MPG more in the V8. I just installed the stuff on my V6 tonight and was driving it hard to test out the performance and I am already up 3 mpg. So opening up the air flow is the best way to increase MPG at this point.

I live in a small town with congested traffic. Although my GT only has 250 miles on it so far, I've been getting 16.2 to 16.4 in town. With 3.73 gears, I often easily take off from a light in 2nd and hold the RPMs i the 2000 range most of the time. I'm very pleased with the city mileage. I'm driving to Fulton, MO for a Mustang Meet next month. I'll keep an eye on highway mileage then. I expect 25-26 mpg.

After buying a new Coyote GT, I've been diagnosed with RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome). My right leg and foot seems to fully extend often, while I drive. I just don't understand it.

My 2014 GT Premium with Track Pack & Comfort Pack, has 750 miles on it with 91 octane gas I get 22 mpg on the highway and 16 or 17 mpg in the city just depends on my lead foot. PS I have a Bama Tune and K&N CAI and Accel Coils.
