I bought my 2012 in Jan., at that time the rebate was $3000 plus i has a $750 coupon plus dealer took off $2250 = $6000 off sticker.

So if you can wait and shop whats on the ground at that time you can get great deals. There were several others that did the same back then as dealer wanted 2012s gone and of course it was winter with 2013s arriving shortly.

 

Rebates are raised as Ford see's fit depending on sales in your region. Of course, the trend has been that they rise as time goes on, and if you're ordering in December or January you may see $2000 or more. An example, the 2012 Mustang has $3000 customer cash here in NY.

 

I found that these rebates were a more closely guarded that a freakin' National Security meeting. I ordered by 2013 DIB V6PP and waited for 8 long weeks before she arrived. I tried to find out from both my dealer and Ford what the rebates were going to be when she arrived. I already had the $500 (through 7/2/12) plus the $750 private cash. I could not get anything out of anyone to see if that $500 was going up 7/3/12. So I found out (thank you Deysha alone b/c my dealer was ZERO help) my car was set to arrive on 7/1/12, but they don't deliver to the dealer on Sunday. Because of the holiday, I have either Monday or Thursday to go see her. Long story short, I can't wait any longer to see my new mistress so I go to the dealer, pick er up and take her home. Wake up this morning to my new girl, take her to work and then find out the rebate went up to $1000. Sonnova.......

Request mailed brochures online at ford.com, select mustang. Took me about 10 try's to get the 750

The new brochures show an expiration date of 10/8/2012. So maybe right before the cut off for orders they'll raise it a bit more? fingers crossed.
