2013 Rebates / Past Rebate Trends

Hey all... got my 2013 mustang on order right now, hoping it comes in before the end of June.

On the off chance that it doesn't, the $500 rebate expires on 7/2/2012. What generally has happened in years past? Will Ford issue a new rebate on 7/3 that's a larger amount? If so, how much does it jump by? Is there a reliable pattern or is it different year to year?

Thanks!

Go to Ford.com and request a brochure. You might be lucky and get a $750 private cash offer coupon via mail. Not sure if that will work with the $500 rebate, if not $750 better than $500!

Yup, I'll be putting in for one of those within the week, and from what I understand, that can combine with the $500 offer. I'm just curious if the $500 itself will be going up at all.

From what my Dealer told me they had a assurance that as long as you ordered your car while the rebate was going on they would honor it. I would ask the dealer just to make sure. I ordered from Galpin Ford in north hills CA btw

Rebates change every quarter. I wouldn't expect it to change at all after 7/2 because the cars are selling quite well. If you have the $750 from the brochure, they can be combined for a total of $1250.

Same here. The $500 is good and if anything better comes along you can take that instead.

My dealer told me that if a rebate came in that was higher than the $500 they would apply that one instead.

Private cash offer and the rebate can be combined. I was able to use both for an additional $1250 off Xplan pricing.

The rebates go up as time goes on. I bought my 12' in August of 11' (relatively new in the MY) and rebates at the time were $2500 or $1000 and 0% for 60mo. What was odd is that inventory levels were very low and dealers in my area only had a few GT's???

Rebates usually go up in August because they are trying to clear out model year 2012 from the lots. The early releases (2013 models) usually benefit from that cycle.

$750 rebate

I went to ford also and ordered several different brochures. The 2013 Mustang and Exploder had the $750 in them. my advice would be to order all of the brochures. and see what you get!

Yup, that's what I'm trying to figure out. If the next rebate comes out in August, then I go with the $500. I wasn't sure how reliable the rebate pattern was. Like is it consistent that the $500 comes out initially, then the $2500/$1000 in august year to year? Is there a gap of a few months between those times where there's no rebate at all? Or is there a $750 rebate in between? Since the 2013 model came out so early this year, there might not be a hike in price since they're not going to be clearing out the 13s for the 14s.

I was hoping there was some kind of a site that would show charts of rebate trends by month.

Hey bud, the rebates usually don't go crazy from May to end of summer. The car has a $500 rebate now. Your guaranteed it at minimum on an order. All the dealer has to do, is file for Incentive Protection if the rebate goes lower than what it was when you ordered it. It won't though. It may go to $1,000 by the end of summer, to help keep a momentum going. Don't expect anything crazy like $2,000 or so, since the cars are just coming out. It wouldn't surprise me if the rebates to go $1,000 in July. As for the $750, that can be combined using X-Plan and the national rebate. The only thing you can't combine with the $750 and X-Plan is college grad or AQHA rebate.

Negative. Conquest will work with Xplan, however it will not work with Xplan & Brochure coupon. It's either conquest or brochure coupon.

Dumb Q but does conquest only apply if I trade my car in? Or just show proof I own a competitors brand now?

$1,000 Conquest 04/03/2012 07/02/2012 Restrictions:
Competitive Lease Conquest Bonus Cash is available towards leasing or retail purchases to customers who currently lease a competitive (non-Ford Motor Company) vehicle, or have terminated a lease with a competitive vehicle up to 30 days prior to date of sale. Customer must have leased the competitive vehicle for a minimum of 30 days. Offer may be transferred within the same household or business to business owner. Current lease customers are not required to terminate their lease. Not compatible with RCL/RCO Renewal, Owner Loyalty or other Conquest Offers. See participating dealer for details.
I believe the $750 brochure coupon falls under " Owner Loyalty" hence it not being compatible with the Conquest offer.
