Blend date Nov 28, 2012

 

My build week is 12/10/12. So by this logic I should see my sticker in about two weeks I guess.

 

When did you place the order?

I can hardly wait ... but I have no choice

Thanks to delays by the dealer or the zone rep or Ford however you want to look at it.

 

5 months just to get to the building process. That's insane

 

Yup. That's Fords allocation system for these cars. My guess is the zone rep had a lot of first allocations spread amongst all these small dealers here and made sure they all got theirs before I got my dealers second allocation.

 

My 2011 only took 4 months from order to delivery and that's with the 3/4 week sit after build. You're probably looking at 6 months.

My Dealer contacted me yesterday and I found out that the Train distribution center is about 20 minutes away from my house... The dealer is about 2 hours away... So the car, once it's here and gets on a truck will pass right by my house... LOL! Sad that it'll be so close, yet so far away!!

 

I just got the news today that my car (GT500) has been scheduled for the week of Jan 7. It looks like I will be getting one of the last 2013's built. I am happy and a little sad. I'm happy that after waiting since May, it will finally be built, sad that it will be a year old car one week after it is built. A little over 7 months from order to build plus delivery.

On a positive note, for those wondering if Ford is still handing out (GT500) allocations, my dealer got the one for my car about two weeks ago. So there may still hope for those waiting.

 

I think you have to ask Deysha that one.
