Hi folks, since this sticky started out with my thread way back in March, I thought I would give you an update on how the car is doing.
For those who don't know the car, it's a GT Premium Vert., 5.0, Auto.

With a whopping 3000 miles (delivered in May) on the car it has settled into approx 18 mpg city, and 28 highway. No oil used. The trans has been great, shifts are quick and solid. Car rides great, with no interior problems. With only two minor problems with the passenger door (replaced the door handle mech., and the pony projector in the mirror) the Wifey has been extremely happy with the car.

For those waiting, there ain't a thing I can say that will make the wait any better. Except maybe, it will definately be worth the misery. Good luck, and I hope everyone gets there new rides soon.


Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Deysha is da bomb.

Wow midol I ordered one week after you on the 9th of October and my build date ends up 2 months after yours, in December; anyone else confused?

 

I waited 6 weeks for a VIN alone. His dealer must have a high allocation.

 

thanks again for your timely updates, deysha! ordered 8/20, arrived 10/12. i took delivery when i returned from vacation on sunday. it didn't stay stock for long

1 week before your build date...unless of course they lie to you and change it by pushing your date back a month without warning thereby screwing you out of your discounted sales tax from your current car. Err...not that that would be from personal experience or anything....

What amaze me is that it take less time to build a complete car than ship it out !!!!!

Mine has been built on the 11th and still sitting in the parking lot of the FR plant. That's really disapoint me from Ford........

Thanks! It's a super snake replica that was put on the car at the same time it got clear bra. Custom job using 3M matte black vinyl, not a kit, but built to the same specs (14" wide, 1" space, 1" pinstripe). Wish I had the 850hp to match, but at least it looks nice, lol
