Finally got my baby yesterday! The ordering process was definitely NOT what I was expecting, but I'm so glad I got what I wanted instead of just what's available at my local dealers. Deysha, thanks so much for keeping me updated during the wait!

Thanks Again! Your a Great Asset to "FORD"
This brings up a question I have.... How do you track a car once it hits the local rail yard? Is there a way to know when the convoy truck has picked it up and is headed to the dealership?

I can track the train, no problem. But how do I continue to track things once the train drops the car at the local rail yard?

Wow, i LOVE that interior color. Looks fantastic! And the pimp glass roof just tops it all off!

WELL DONE!

I was lucky, the trucking company had a website where you can enter the last 8 of the VIN and it would show you the invoice to ship the car to the dealer. They sent me an email once it was delivered and signed for.

Well, it looks like my baby needs surgery at the body shop

When I picked my car my wife found a pink spot on the rear bumper, the salesman order a complete detail to see if they can remove the spot. Yesterday the car was detailed but what ever is on the bumper is inside the clear coat from the factory. And as you can bet I am not a happy camper. The dealer is submitting this to Ford but I will be calling on Monday to the customer service to open a formal complaint to Ford about the because there is no way in hell someone could miss this. If this was a Ford execs car someone's *** would be looking for work..... I just want to see if Ford is going to make this right...

Now after checking the paint in the sunlight here is rust inside of the clear coat on the roof of the car.... Now I am going NUCULAR..... This is not acceptable at all, now the whole car needs to be check and re-painted or they are going build me a new one..... Ford CRC center beware on Monday when I call..

On the vehicle tracking report, it will show the company that is arranging the transport to the dealer. Once you find that see if they have a website that you can track your car. Here is the copy of my invoice.

Deysha,

I hope you had a great weekend (I am guessing you don't read this on weekends).

From all the comments I have read, you are an amazing advocate and giver of knowledge to folks such as myself who have a vehicle on order. I have sent you two PMs (well, pretty much the same one twice 21 & 23 Aug). I am not sure if you received them and are working my issue, or if you didn't receive them.

Please let me know ether way.

Thanks for all you do!

GT500 Fans,

My dealer that I ordered my GT500 from just received their second allotted Shelby. The car is a coupe with every option except glass roof. It is Deep Impact Blue w/ White Stripes (white stripes on the recaros also). It was sold but the guy just backed out. I told them I would put a message out for them since they were awesome and sold me mine at MSRP.

I know there are several people that have "unscheduled" orders, so my hope is that this can help someone from this forum get their car much faster.

In an effort to not spam the forum, just PM me if you would like more info.

Have a blessed day!

Yeah hopefully everything looks good. Sorry to hear about your issues though.

It'll get fixed though, so I wouldn't worry about that. It's just a bummer you might have to be without it for a few days while it gets repaired.

Are you sure this isn't rail dust? Not trying to start anything, but it sure sounds like how I would describe the only car I've seen covered in rail dust. If so, dealers can clean it up, I think they do it with clay bar and polish. The finish on the junkymaro I saw looked terrible, then perfect, with no repaint.

Good luck, and I'm interested in what it turns out to be.

If it does require a repaint, I'd push for another build. No repaint is ever as good as a "good" factory finish.

Well, Friday I took the car to the detailer to check the spot on the bumper. They told me that that spot what ever it was is in the paint but the rail dust rust or what ever it was the detailer did not get it out. My son took a look and was able to polish it out in 10 mins what the detailer could not do in 5 hours of having the car. That tells you how good the dealers people are, they should hire my kid who does a better job.
