Yep, and it's causing me concern over where they're going to start the Shelby. I was hoping for around $55k, but I'm getting the feeling it's going to be closer to $59,995. Hope I'm wrong. Unfortunately for me it won't matter, because I've determined to bite the bullet on the price anyway.

Re: Camaro outselling Mustang
Sure there is some pride there, but Ford has made it clear that profitability comes above all else, so I don't see this as a strong motivator for Ford to change their pricing.

After seeing the new prices, I might just have to get a used 2011 or 2012... Am I missing something? haha I'm only 17, and although the price changes are not drastic, they are a little high for the options that I wanted, especially recaros :'(

Ahhh thanks a lot. 33k wouldn't be such a bad price. It's between a base v6 with a performance package or a base gt with a 3.73 gear ratio, brembos, and maybe recaros. Obviously, the gt would seem like the better option, but of course price may be an issue. I really want the v8 and am hoping to track the car, so if the prices for what I want are out of my range, I might have to buy a used gt. I've seen them for about 30k with brembos, and I think I could probably get a deal lower than that. I am more of a performance kind of guy, so I don't care about the premium package, I just think it would nice to get the redesigns included in the 2013 year if I can get a fair price.

With X-plan (join MCA, SVT Cobra owners, etc for a small fee) and you could get a Base GT, w/Recaros, Brembos, and 3.73 gears for around 33k, if you shop around. You can make it happen if you try hard enough!

Wow the new pricing and rebate situation is really making me glad I decided to go for a '12 and not wait for the '13's. I'll enjoy it for a few years till the 2015's come out

The pp and recaros are mandatory. The track pack is going to be really hard to turn down. I don't know that I'd feel ok taking it to a track without it. The electronics package is expendable for me.

Holy Moses!! I can't believe the Gotta Have It Green Boss is running at $46,000 MSRP! That's not too much less than what I paid for my new 2009 GT500 Vert! Maybe the Boss will end up being not gotta have it.

i must have missed somethign 41k for a gt mustang with man. transmission. no glass top, or convert. is a bargain? i would hate to see what you think a fair deal is.. the fact of the matter that lets say 60% of the car is identical with the 22k v6 model and they double the cost for seats.. a lcd monitor and a v8 is ridiculousness.. i see alot of people on here complaining they upped their prices again... the body, frame, panels, and most electronics are the same.. so where is 20K worth of stuff they are putting in.. not to mention for 18k you get a motor and transmission... it costs 18k for the price DIFFERENCE in a v8 and a few changes...i was very excited when my dealer they could deal with me.. but after these prices i see no way they can get close to what i was expecting
