Got to see a Red GT Coupe at CES this week. It was quite an interesting experience in the sense that my opinions of the '13 were changed as follows:
Before seeing the car in person:
- I was concerned over the nose of the car looking to "bulby"
- I had mixed feelings on the painted side skirts
- I really liked the backend
After seeing the car in person:
- I think the front looks good. Its not as sharp looking as the '11-'12, but it looks like it belongs, ie. it works
- I still have mixed feelings about the painted side skirts
- I no longer like the backend nearly as much. The lights are still definitely a win, but the black piece between them does not look as good as I thought in pictures. I did not see any scratching, but it looks kind of cheap. A flat or matte black setup would look so much nicer. Perhaps Ford will do that at least for the boss?
So it was as I said, interesting to see it in person. It looks good and I think most fans will be happy once they see it in person as well.

North Hall in the back middle, close to the Hilton.
They have a Focus electric, new Fusion, New Escape, Evos Concept and New Mustang at the booth.
Outside is the new Flex, Taurus SHO, Fiesta, Focus ST, Raptor.
Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks for the pic, very nice. Now I'm convinced I like the 2011-2012 better overall, front and rear. But the 2013 looks good, and the Race Red color is great!
I have to agree with you 100% on the front. On the rear, I think matte black will be killer. I am going to have it covered in matte black vinyl when i get mine

True, Tom, very true - I'm not diggin' that new front end design. But I think from a sales standpoint Ford will do well with the 2013-2014 models, because they still remain true to the overall great look of the 2010 re-style. Shant, you will be cleaning that rear panel daily for fingerprints and dust, I think. And the 'faux' gas cap now looks simply like a stick-on badge. I have a picture of my 2011 GT, same Race Red color, same picture angle, so you can see the front-end changes side-by-side.
