Update

I stopped at 3 Ford dealers..... None of them use or have seen the jacking adapters. The dealers just jack up the Mustangs using their 2 post lifts with flat steel pads and place them directly under the pinch points. Sooooo....I picked up 4 hockey pucks and I'm going to place them on my lifting pads and catch the pinch point (bottom of).

The jackstands in the link above are EXACTLY where I put the lift pads when I jack up the car. Im using a 2 post lift not a portable jack.

I'll keep doing that.

Look at my picture in my first post.

In the link that MJJ posted. The pictures of the car on the jacks show that the jack stands they are using were placed in the same places that I use with the pads when using a 2 post lift.

I said I'm gonna keep using the same places instead of buying some pucks to lift the car at the pinch points.

I bought an 8' 2x4 for $2.50. Then cut it as appropriate. Repeat the cut to make 4 of them.

Done.

There's always different ideas about where to jack. I have never used the pinch points with my floor jack. It just seems dangerous. I use the fat frame rail to jack and place the jack stands.

I just go with what Ford recommends in the manual. I assume they engineered the car and know it better than I. I agree there are usually multiple ways though to arrive at a solution.

To each their own.

This will be my own version eventually. $79 plus shipping but once they are on there's really no worries left.
