<rant> I like the strengthened engine parts, but there are so many aftermarket pistons, rods, and other engine parts already available that it is really only that red race key feature that supposedly gives this a "Jeckyl/Hyde" personality that I find truly unique and worth something. I like the leather, headlights and colors from the GT. I see no point to pay so much more for a car that comes with cloth seats and deleted lights. 
I know that I did not really want the car, but I would at least consider it. Sorry, but the cloth seats are a deal breaker for me. Leather wears far better over time, and just plain looks better. You can keep your Boss!! I will change my own pistons if I ever want to bad enough.

Hey, the Boss is cool. It certainly will be a collector's item. But it's not for everyone, and not for me. For me, buying a Mustang is an impractible choice to begin with and for what I want the car to do, I can't justify the cost of a Boss. I'd rather take the leap to a Shelby ot hope they release a Mach version of the car.
But hey, if a Boss is you want more power to ya!

Aside from what has been discussed in this thread? I do not believe so. The order cutoff date for the 2011 MY is this Friday, so I'd imagine that the 2012 order guide will be available then.

2012 Order Guides & Price Lists are still not available to dealers, but I'm checking daily. Ford is scheduling mid-December 2011 Mustang production this week, so there's still several more weeks of 2011 scheduling going on.

12B = Boss Floor Mats - optional.
97B = Boss Car Cover - optional.
458 = 3.73 Torsen Limited Slip Axle - optional.

Yea, here at the dealership, most of us would want the Torsen, but the Recaros are split, I'm into Autocross and love them, owner of the dealership has a 79 Indy 500 Mustang with Recaros and says thats the last set he'll have since they are so hard to get out off. Guess it doesn't matter since we didn't hit the Boss Lottery to get one anyway.

Guess it doesn't matter since we didn't hit the Boss Lottery to get one anyway.

I believe this had been previously mentioned as bundled. It would have been nice to have them separate.

For me, the ultimate deciding factor is price on these two. If this was an extra $1000, then I would get it. I suspect it's probably going to be more than that ($2000+), based on looking at the prices in the aftermarket for the individual items.
Justufying the extra $1000 then would simply because these parts are more in keeping with the car's character as opposed to the added funtionality they would bring. On the street, it's not that easy to get to the high limits of cornering as in race conditions (unless you like hanging it out illegally and endangering others).
I guess we will soon know.

I just looked this morning. Still no order guide, but the price lists are posted. Looks like a Boss 302 is $40145 plus $850 D&D.
The price list refers to 97B (Car cover in computer) as "Boss 302 Accesory package" so I'm guessing it is car cover and floor mats.
Looks like 2012 Shelby is the same price as 2011, except for SVT performance package is increased by $500. All other options (except Recaro Seats which are new) are the same price as a 2011.
GT Premium looks to have increased base price by $200

Hmmm, so we are talking about $43,000 for a fully optioned Boss. A little more than I was planning on spending. What to do, what to do...

43K for optioned out Boss302? Hmm, that sounds about what people were thinking. I wonder if the stitching on the cover is 24K gold...cause 500 for a cover is cah-razy

I went to the All-American Ford dealership on rt. 17 in NJ and they said they were getting 6 Bosses in and all 6 are already sold for $20,000 over list. 43k isn't bad for what your getting imo, but 63k is a little ridiculous.

That sounds like a dealership wanting to hype up the prices. I'd be asking them for proof of this!
