Jason/hawkeye,

How is the clutch/brake feel? I read a post in another forum that said that the clutch and brake pedal in the 2012 feel stiffer/offer more resistance than the 2011 model...any truth to this?

I liked the light clutch in the 2011 I test drove, I hope the 2012 isn't too different!

I found the clutch in mine to be pretty light and very smooth. My brake pedal (keep in mind I have Brembos) is very smooth and progressive. Not grabby like, say, a rented Kia Sorento or whatever, but very linear. And they never stop. Every time I think I'm at the adhesion limit on the tires, I press a little harder and somehow it stops faster. I've had to pop my eyeballs back in a couple of times.

I'll just say that the clutch is easy enough to work that my wife, who has never driven a manual in her life before, got a smooth takeoff on her very first effort on a stop. She's only stalled it once, and that was because she forgot to take it out of gear coming to a stop. It's that good.
