Kona is too dark. I like Vista better, too. I want to like Kona because it looks so cool in pictures, but in real life you don't have 13 different light sources pointed at your car to make it shimmer, it just looks black.

The reason I am partial to Vista is the way that light hits it at different times of the day. Metallic and brilliant in the sunlight, but sort of like Sonic Blue in the shade. Sometimes I see hints of violet on overcast days.

Sorry, think I crossed myself up. I meant I liked sonic blue. It's a better dark blue in my opinion : )

Package 402A is, indeed, the GT California Special...
  • 245/45/19 tires.
  • Carpeted floor mats (likely logo'd with GT/CS).
  • Side Tape Stripe
  • Side Scoops
  • Pedastal Spoiler
  • 54X California Special Package
Colors listed for this package are limited to:
  • Grabber Blue
  • Performance White
  • Race Red
  • Black
  • Ingot Silver
  • Red Candy
Carryover options include HID's, Comfort Pkg, Security Pkg, 3.55 Limited Slip, 3.73 Limited Slip, Electronics Pkg, Glass Roof, Rear Video Camera, Shaker 1000, etc.

New options showing are 6-speed Automatic, Brembo Brake Pkg, and 3.15 Limited Slip.

I checked into 2011 V6 options and found a listing for a 3.31 Limited Slip axle. About time! Also, GT500 appears to get the Glass Roof finally and an optional SVT Performance Pkg.
Any information on the SVT Performance Pkg?

I like Kona Blue because it is dark. Most of the other blues look too purple to me.

No Kona Blue on the GT/CS bad move, with white stripes it wouldhave been stunning. Don't like the 2 fast 2 furious pedestal spoiler either. It's simply overkill on the car. What did the original GT/CS have? A ducktail spoiler, the one on the current car is perfect. I wonder is this can be deleted? It was on the last model.

This being said front end, I think:

Pretty good, though I prefer the fogs in the grille

I knew there was a reason I assumed the SVT package would be available on the GT, and it was TN's comment about about that facia being available. That facia wouldn't make sense on the GT500, so I'm hoping it's either going to be for the standard 5.0 or the GT/CS appearance package. It probably makes most sense for the GT/CS but I was really hoping for a way of spotting the difference between a '10 and an '11 other than a 5.0 badge.

Either way, if I ever bought an '11, it would have the front and rear facias from that accessories car

I have a feeling the spoiler, diffuser, front fascia, side scoops and hood scoop could all be on the GT/CS. Heck, maybe even the grille (though it looks like a Roush to me).

Looks good. Just not sure it will get my order.

I am kind of doubting this because isn't that really a roush front end. I stand corrected folks, the 2010 customizer sight contains the roush front end, but this is different. WOW! Good find, I would bet money that is it.

On a side note, I think these Ford Accessory hood scoops look absolutely terrible. Way worse than the tacked-on hoodscoops of '01-'09. I'm so glad our GT/CS didn't come with one.

I was thinking of buying a base 2011 V-6 with an automatic as the only option. Now i'll have to add a limited slip rear-end to my list. A limited slip axle option is the best news i've heard (not counting the 3.7L engine) for the V-6 in a long time.

I totally agree with you. The pedestal spoiler looks equally bad and is simply overkill on the car. I hope there is a workaround on that when the car is released.

I'd be really interested in that front end with brake ducts where they have the fogs and a normal GT grille w/fogs.

By the way, the 2011 Mustang Order Guide was not released today, as previously thought.
