i hope we don't have a gt500-like traction issue here

You would need some 285's out back and some 255's up front to really get the right set up. It really stinks if all this power and money and you will have to drop another 2K in wheels and tires to get the power to the ground.
SS has 245/275. They seem to know whats up.

Yes, I agree. Ford really should have 255 at least for the 2011.

I might have to go down to Discount Tire again and work a deal to trade in my OEM tires/wheels on some after market wheels/tires....

If you can go without an automatic, then the Brembo Brake package option comes with 19x9 rims and 255/40/r19 tires.

Yes, but I don't know if I'm crazy about those wheels in that package.

The spec sheet was showing the same size of tires as last year. Surely with another hundred HP that would have to go up? Those 235/50/R18 are going to spin like crazy!
From 1993 - 2010 we went from 225 to 235 standard on Mustang GT.

The GT500 has 150 more HP than an 03 Cobra, tires went from 275 to 285. Ford has never cared much about putting the Mustang's power to the ground. Unforunately lemmings think tire spin is "cool". It's dumb.

When most people see a Mustang they want to yell "Peel out d00d!!!"

While I think the fact that it's distinct is cool, I have to say that I would LOVE to have been able to get an all-charcoal interior in our GT/CS. I think the charcoal interior feels more muscle car-like and looks cooler. If anything, I wish the seats and interior in our car were a similar to what my 2001 Cobra had: charcoal leather seats with dove suede center sections and the rest of the interior was charcoal.

It might be another trip to Discount Tire for me then! What good is 400 HP if you can't use it?

I'd like to see Ford make the Premier Trim package a little more two-toney. The seats have that little contrasting stripe in the middle but they could certainly go further than that. How about having the leather inserts in the door panels also have the contrasting color? How about embroidering the Mustang logo into the front seat headrests using thread the same color as the contrasting stripe? Or alternately, just drop the Premier Trim package and offer a few more colors for the leather.

Just pray Ford doesn't use Goodyear F1's like on the GT500.

Something like that. I'm not to keen on the colour choices.

Very interesting pics, I must say. It looks like a 2010 design study, yes?
