I have a feeling we'll see a press release at the Detroit show regarding the graphics. I too think the offset stripe works on that GT500.

As for the 2-tone stripes, what if it's the same design as the normal GT500 stripes, but on the doors, the upper and lower stripes are 2 different colors? That might not look half bad.

 

I have found this interesting combo in the system, but I don't know if this combo will be available when the order bank opens.

Any info on there about the GT Premier interior with black leather and the thin red stripe down the middle with the red steering wheel?

 

Can you also check and see if there is a Track Pack to be offered in 2011? I was thinking that it might have been replaced by the brake package?

 

I can't actively check for specific options. I am not an insider.

I have found one GT/CS - There no longer appears to be unique seat trim for this option. It does come with the Premier Interior Package, and specific floor mats, side tape stripes, side scoops, pedestal spoiler, and 245/45/R19's on 19x8.5 painted wheels. No idea about specific bumpers.

 

That sucks. It's ashame to lose that unique touch...

Actually, the 2011 GT/CS gets a unique seat trim. It is option code LW, which is not orderable on any other 2011 Mustang. It is described as Natural Grain Leather / Dark Charcoal.

The other 2011 GT interior options are all carryovers from 2010:

• 1U = Stone Cloth
• 1W = Charcoal Cloth
• 4N = Saddle Leather
• 4U = Stone Leather
• 4W = Charcoal Leather
• 5P = Brick Red (Cashmere Stripe) Leather
• 5Q = Charcoal (Cashmere Stripe) Leather
• 5R = Charcoal (Blue Stripe) Leather

The ones above starting with a "4" are for the GT Premium models and those with a "5" are the Premier Trim for GT Premium models. Those that start with a "1" are cloth interiors for the basic GT models.

So, the LW leather seats are, indeed, unique for 2011 California Specials.

 

TrackPack is not showing in the 2011 Mustang Order Banks. You are likely right that the Brembo Brake Package replaces it, but we'll know for sure when the actual Order Guides are available in a few weeks.

 

Nothing like that is available. See my post above for the entire list of 2011 Mustang GT interiors.

 

I just tried to input a 2011 GT with Brembo Brakes and the Automatic and got the following error message....

55D BREMBO BRAKE PACKAGE N/A 443 AUTO TRANS

So, looks like they'll only be available with the manual transmission. Sucks for those of us who prefer an automatic in a performance car.

The spec sheet was showing the same size of tires as last year. Surely with another hundred HP that would have to go up? Those 235/50/R18 are going to spin like crazy!

 

Good to know. My concern is that they aren't two-tone as the previous ones were. For me that distinctiveness was one of the main reasons I bought my car.

 

You think the GT/CS loses the 5.0 badge because of the stripes?

 

We don't yet know if they will be two-tone or not, as the description is abbreviated in the order banks. The 2007 Mustang GT/CS seats were option code KC (charcoal/parchment) or KD (charcoal/dove) and were described as follows in the order guide, but I don't know how abbreviated it was in the order banks...

"Cal Special Dark Charcoal Interior Color Only Leather Seats with Contrasting Environment"

 

The 235 remains the standard width, and I agree that it is not enough. I recently installed 255's all the way around on my '07 GT automatic, and with 455 flywheel hp I still spin hard in 3rd gear on dry pavement.

 

Very likely, since the GT emblem was also removed, and since historically the GT/CS stripe is at mid height on the side of the car.
