So when the dealer buys a car from Ford, do they pay dealer cost, or dealer cost plus holdback, (whatever that is)??

So that's the Dealer Invoice W/holdback column?

I'm still thinking about getting a 2010 and waiting a little while for an '11. Just trying to see what these guys may have in these soon-to-be-leftovers.

No, its the "dealer price", the far left column on the price list.

Hey Jeff. Ive been following this post for a little while. I plan on ordering or at least buying a mustang 5.0 when it came out. I live in Ga and was just in a dealership but they were trying to push the 2010 on me way too much. I asked for a price on a 2011 and they havent been back in touch with me and its been 6 days.
I work for at&t and already have my x-plan pin and approval. I want a black gt premium convertible with the nav unit. I also want the side vents and the hood scoop. Can you give me a price on this with the X-plan pricing? Im doing a fishing trip in may up in NJ. Maybe i could pick it up there? Does it save me anything? Either way im going to the cheapest dealer.
I ordered my Tundra new and it was no big deal, i dont understand why this dealer is making a production out of it. They want 2000.00 down and tell me if i'm really interested then i will do it lol. Please help me!

Hey bud, its Jeff. First off, welcome to the site. Its a WONDERFUL PLACE!!! I'll be happy to help you. Since you just signed up, I can't send you PMs yet(I think you need 100 posts to do that, not sure). My email address is jmgreenly@hotmail.com. Just shoot me a message on that and we can go back and forth that way. You can also call me at the number in my sig above, if you want to chat about anything you have questions on.

I really hate these dealers who want to sell the 2010s so bad and don't even see a sale in front of them when someone wants to order a 2011. I have 3 2010s left but if someone wants a 2011, I'm just as stoked and I go over the options with them. Heck, I told some people almost a year ago that if they didn't mind waiting, to go for the 5.0. Drop me an email later today and if you can, include a phone number where I can contact you at. Include all the options you want and whether you want an auto or manual and such. I'll work up the X-Plan pricing for you (which is the cheapest way to go as its just below my $300 over invoice deal I have been offering). And to order, I only ask for a $500 deposit. Thats it. For that dealer to ask for $2,000 is flat-out wrong!!! Thanks for the post and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Jeff

Hey guys. I'm a new member here and I'm about to order my first mustang. I've been curious about the 2.73 and 3.31 axles though. From what I gather, the 3.31 would give you quicker acceleration. Does anyone know the difference between the 2 in numbers? I mean, how much faster would the 3.31 be and how much fuel economy would you be losing? I couldn't find any info to show me how to figure that out. Thanks.

We won't know how fast either is until someone gets their hands on one.

Best guesses for V6 cars are high 13's in the 1/4, maybe a coupe of tenths quicker for the 3.31 gears.

Fuel economy differences, probably 2 or 3 MPG less on the highway for 3.31's, probably no difference for city mileage.

I would imagine it would be close to a stock V6 Camaro.
I believe they are getting 13s.

NOT A STOCK CAMARO V6....Unless it is a serious "Factory Freak"

Nah, camaro V6 tests are in the mid to high 14 second range.

Can't imagine the V6 Mustang being that slow, I'm betting on the high 13 second range.

And if they can do that then demand will go through the roof!

You all are right. All the V-6 Camaro test i've read have it doing the quarter in 14.4 to 14.6 seconds...... 96 to 99 m.p.h. 0 to 60 times around 5.9 to 6.0 seconds.
