2011 Mustang Price List NOW AVAILABLE!!!
How about $40K for a Mustang GT Premium convertible with options?
It's a lot of money either way but I haven't bought a new car just for me since 1981. I'm driving a 1999 E-150 with 171K miles. (I do however get on my Harley in the summers)
I can fit in the new Mustang better than any of the other cars I looked at, I've owned umpteen Ford vehicles over the years, and plan on keeping this car until my sons' fight over their inheritance. LOL
I am at a point where I can afford it even though I do cringe a bit when I think I could get a V6 coupe and a Focus for the same price.

I don't understand the problem here...it's not like the Mustang is sticking out at $40k, since the Camaro, Challenger, and 370Z can all quickly add up to the same. Yeah, it seems like a lot of money, especially when you compare that to older Mustangs from years ago, but there's a lot more there. More materials, more safety features, and more gadgets that are all added in from say, a 2000 GT.

You got that right. 7-11 sells regular sized candy bars for $1.05 now. And with a little looking, the candy bar is actually smaller than in the past.
Moral of the story, prices increase. Nothing that can be done about it.

I remember "penny candy" when I was a kid. Phone calls at a phone booth were 10 cents. Postage stamps were 13 cents. et Cetera.
I bought my first brand new Mustang for $9,300. It was a 1988 LX Hatchback (2.3L / Manual). Talk about sticker shock when I bought a brand new 1989 Mustang LX 5.0L Sport a year later for $15,750 (very well equipped). Paid over $20K for a brand new 2000 Mustang GT Coupe. Paid $23K for a brand new 2003 Mach 1. Paid $26K for my 2007 Mustang GT. Prices continue to climb; sure wish my income would follow suit!

Question................are Ford stock holders x-plan qualified? If so, any minimum number of shares, etc.?
Oh, poop. As soon as I x'd out of this, I saw the x-plan stockholders sticky. Nevermind.
BTW... I remember wanting a Boss 302 back in 1970, but finally thought $4000 was too much to pay. Regreted it ever since. Now, a 2011 like I want is 10 times that. But I make way more than 10 times what I did then. No regrets this time.

1991 Ford Mustang black coupe LX 5.0, price ( and still priceless) : $16000 CDN "SOLD"

Never slept that night, wonder why !
the 305bhp V6 is going to be a performance disapointment just like the 305bhp 350Z/G35.....oh wait the 350X and g35 arent performance disapointments at all.
Oh , and the 3.7 nissan v6's dont respond to performance upgrades at all......oh wait, they DO respond.

Yeah I'm very much looking forward to test drives from magazines, etc on the V6. Personally I think it's going to wipe the floor with the base Camaro and Challenger. Can't wait.
I just noticed in this month's Car and Driver magazine that they're estimating the '11 V6 will run the 1/4 mile in 13.6... I personally think it'll be about 14 flat at just about 100 mph.
