I think some of the "added weight" is coming from the sound deadening and aero tweaks. But who knows. I am only disappointed by the prospect of more weight. UGH

Found this... it's some things that haven't been as obvious or stated.... it's by David Pericak- Chief Engineer

"We've added an underbody aero shield, so we've closed off all of that so air will scoot underneath the vehicle. We've also closed off the gap between the radiator and the mating components, so that air does not get trapped in there. We've also added tire spats or wheel spats in the front of the rear wheels integrated to the rocker molding we have wheel spats that help us with aerodynamics and then where the rear glass meets the deck lid of the vehicle we've also sealed that off in their, so we're stopping air from going place that we don't want it to go, further improving the aerodynamics of this vehicle."

Thats pretty interesting. Should help make it a little faster and more stable at speeds above 120+

Anybody notice the 5.0 holds 8 quarts of oil? Engines are holding more and more these days. 10K oil changes as well seems a bit optimistic to me.

LS3 in the GXP, the GT has the L76. It's an odd engine. LS2 head and block style with AFM, LS3 intake, etc.

You read that they tested the engine on the dyno...on its side?? To simulate 1G turns. Wow.

Someone with an AutoWeek sign-in and/or subscription needs to go lambaste them for shoddy reporting. Their article claims the 5L is just a bored-out Mod.

Thats awesome. Now remember guys when your car is on two wheels taking a corner at 100+ we can all be confident in knowing that the engine is worth 412hp.

Merry Chrismas everyone!
