2011 Mustang Info.
yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup. Tho I can't imagine it to be true...the body is 97% the same... the engine is only 10lbs heavier. Grossly over estimated- just as the v6 was.
It was like that on the V6 announcement too. It looks like just generic numbers.
one more noteworthy pic.

Head bolt size was increased from 11 to 12 millimeters to contain the higher combustion pressures.
The aluminum block was developed for optimized windage and oil drainback under lateral conditions and high rpm, such as a track-day outing for an enthusiastic owner and driver. Increased main bearing bulkhead widths and nodular iron cross-bolted main bearing caps with upsized bolts were also employed to accommodate the significant performance increase.

Well,i was excited about the car for about 5 minutes....hmm,that was quick.I'll go back to drooling over the Challengers.
Exactly. Where would the 2011 model have gained 300 pounds? The 5.0L weighs the same as the outgoing 4.6L 3V and the rest of the structure is carried over from 2010.
Well it's interesting that they list the automatic equipped coupe and vert as the same weight. They could have added bracing and stiffening components to both models...but either way they shouldn't weigh the same.
