My 2012 gt had worse issues with shiftimg,It depends on whether trans is bad or clutch assembly, in my case, slave cylinder was leaking and caused clutch to partially disengage even with pedal to the floor, also clutch pedal gets real hard above 3000rpm, now they replaced both slave cylinder and clutch assembly, now clutch pedal is very smooth and I can shift without any issues even at 7000rpm, shifter is very smooth now, even at colder temperature, thanks to deysha and serive adviser dan at tedbritt ford fair fax, they did this replacement under warranty even at 20000miles.

2011 with 45k+ miles, early on I switched to barton shifter and bracket then went royal purple fluid. I have never had problems with the tranny, but these mods made it a pleasure. I've heard great things about mgw, but it wasn't available when I went barton!
