I did this quick chop on my laptop after scrutinizing every inch of those tails:

The original photos are not photoshopped. That driver side taillight looks a little sketchy because of the perspective. The portion of the tails that is revealed indicates that those leaked sketches a while back are accurate, or very close to production. So I think we're looking at the real deal here.

Aside from that, I'm not liking the look of this vert. But I'll reserve my ultimate judgement for official release pics.

the bottom emdge of te middle tailight section on each side is actually heading up hill. as if the taillight housing is kinda pie wedge shaped

EDIT: Whoops just saw the post before mine and I think that is dead on for the look
Good job Blake!

It's OK, but I'm not sure STAN would approve.

Honestly, not all that different from the current car. Reinforces my belief that the 2010 MY design will be a bit different than the '05-'07, not necessarily "better". Sort of like how today we don't necessarily view the '69 MY as being "better" than the '67-'68 MY...just different. In fact, with 20/20 hindsight, nowadays lots of people would prefer the '67-'68 over the '69.

+1!!

Definitely looks chopped. Where was this supposed shot taken??

Also, lets keep in mind that the rear of a convertible is going to look different or odd from a rear angle than the coupe no matter what model year you look at.

Well, if Ford is testing the water for opinions, then please: Show us Plan B.

This whole exposed, area looks as if someone very poorly put white tape or shrink wrap over everything they wanted shown for this picture. And then they shot flat black camo spray points all over the taped over areas. Next they Released this tease picture, just to let the Mustang crazies like us see it. And then listen up for all of the free opinion feed back from the very people they are going to build this for!! I could be way wrong on this idea, but just my 2-cents. Save this camo picture in your files for future reference. CalStang
The more I look at it, the more I see chop! Look at how the roofline meets the trunk lid. Granted it's viewed on an angle, but it still just looks off. Also, which would KGP need 2 watermarks??? Are they afraid someone might try and copy the Michigan license plate?? And since when is the mule ever spotted in front of a cheap 70's high school yearbook backdrop??

I'm still not in love with the tail lights or the rear end in general but as others have said, it isn't a deal breaker....yet

Not crazy about the tail lights or front blinkers! What I have seen of the interior, I like.
So far, there has been a lot of negative feedback from these spy pictures. I am even hearing negative feedback from Ford employees that have seen the car.
The one consistent thing all those Ford employees have in common is that they do not like the rear end/tail lights! Since 1982, Ford has never let me down upgrading the appearance of the Mustang. But, I am a little wary this time.

I've heard mixed.
Some people really like it, some don't...because they really like the current design.
And over time it may grow on people... and some.. will never like it.

Tail lights/lamps are easy to change.
The design..not so much.

So for me even if i didn't like the rear lights..they aren't a deal breaker.

I hope Ford decides to use these good looking taillights they are using in Europe.
I like these taillights much better than the ones on that picture of the 2010 Mustang.

Yes, its easier to live with the tail lights than the front.
The chrome between the front blinkers looks awful IMO. They need to make them black or the color of the car(s).
