My vote is also for the 10. I originally ordered an 11 v6 in March of 2010 after waiting over 120 days I decided to go to another dealer with a friend and test drive an 11 v6 and 10 gt. There was no comparison for me. The next week I cancelled my order and bought my 10.

This is actually how I got my previous 2008 GT/CS. That car had been sitting on the lot for well over a year and a half. They still had 09's on the lot and the 2010's were incoming.

I ended up getting invoice + incentives which totaled about 7500. MSRP on that GT/CS was 34,950 and I ended up picking it up for 26 OTD.

The 5.0 is an awesome motor, but you won't have any more fun with it than the 2010. Save yourself 10,000 and get the '10!!!

I stopped and looked at the '10 GT on my small town dealer's lot. Black/black premium, appearance package, spoiler delete. Sticker a bit over $35k, their first shot at my question of how bad do you wanna sell it was $28,375. I hate the appearance package other than the window louvers, and I'd want a spoiler. And it had those 19" 'premium' wheels that I seriously don't like... so there it sits. It's an early build... April '09 I think. I fell sorry for it sitting there all by itself surrounded by trucks. Couple months I'll stop and ask again.

Let us know when you start "doing things" to it.. I want to come by and take a look. I go by there anyways on the way down to PR.

I've gotta get to this site more!
Hi, Bryce...

Yup, I bought my '11 5.0L in February. I've kept it 100% stock so far. Just going to lightly mod it. LCA's, drag radials, drive shaft loops, and tuning. That's all I need to enjoy it for now.

I hope you got the info that I gave Roland yesterday about venting your GT's rear differential for the track. GT500 diff cover is $97 + tax and you could replace the axle tube vent with a pipe plug. Or, you could simply run a tube from your existing vent up high in the chassis (back and up behind the rear bumper cover is our service manager's recommendation).

On a side note, my supercharged '07 GT coupe is for sale on our used car lot still (I traded it in for my '11 GT). Just 28K miles, in excellent condition, & includes all mods I had done. It's being offered waaaay too cheap at just $21,950 if you know anyone looking for a great daily driver that's NHRA legal for drag racing. It runs high 11's in the 1/4 mile and makes about 480 hp at the flywheel.

Stop in anytime and say 'hi.'

Just an update

Well guys,

They were firm on the price and while I kept running the numbers it was sold. .............But I kept my eye out and found a 2011 Kona Blue GT 6 spd manual with the saddle interior (my personal favorite combo) lightly optioned with just the 19" wheels.

I came, I saw, they took the factory rebates, they took a local discount; they took my $750 Ford coupon. I was hooked. Now it is sitting in my garage.

Thanks you all your advice.

I bought my 08 new when the 2010's were on the dealer's lot. I got a really good deal. If you were looking at a 2011 V6, I'd consider the 2010 V8. New is new after all.

Just picked up 2010 red candy gt premium with track pac at my local ford dealer for 11k off msrp. Thought it was a good deal and it is way fun to drive. It really turnes heads. I am reading about mods and don't know where to begin or just leave it alone. I had been looking for a used vett or porsche but happy I saw this. Not bad for a brand new car.

For the money you saved, You can have a supercharger professionally installed and tuned by Steeda and smoke any 5.0, Vette, or Camaro SS you encounter.

I have been thinking about that, even the ford service people where I bought the car said I should throw a supercharge on it. I guess ford racing has one that they put on that works with the warrentee. Not sure what to do yet, there seams to be a lot of talk on this and other forums about cold air induction with tunes. They say that is pretty noticable in power increase. That is the cool thing about this car is there is so many things you can do to personalize it or do nothing at all. The car is a great looking car just the way it is.
