I know this feature is on the newer Mustangs, and I'd like to add this feature to my '07 but am not entirely sure how it is done.
Could someone with a 2010+ take some pictures of their inner door and handle illumination setup to show where these lights are and which way they are pointed.

They are part of the ambient light package. My car has it's cover on it now, but next time I take the car out, I'll take a picture of the light and post it. It may be a couple of days from now before I take it.

Could someone please tell me when these map pocket lights turn on and off?
Do they only come on when you turn on your head lights lights? Open the door, like the door sills? or are they always on? Is it like the cup holder?

 

They come on whenever the door is opened and go off when the door is closed after timing out or when the headlight switch is on. When the headlights are on, the ambient lighting is on. Headlights off, led is off. I hope this helps you.
