2010 GT Slave Cylinder Replacement

I have a 2010 Roush 427R that I am putting a new clutch in. The car has around 20,000 miles or less on it. The standard GT clutch that Roush left in it is shot and I am putting a Ram Powergrip clutch in it rated to 550 hp along with a Ram billet steel flywheel. I am debating on whether or not to I need to replace the Slave Cylinder and Throwout bearing (from what I understand you can not just get a new throwout bearing). With the old clutch in it the clutch engages as soon as I let off the clutch peddle and when I have the clutch peddle to the floor it is very difficult to shirt into gear. When I talked to the tech with summit he said that the problem with the difficulty of going into gear had to do with the clutch face being worn all the way down and that when I engaged the clutch it had to travel farther to unlock the gear box or something to that affect. I understand the concept of what he said but cannot put it into technical terms.

My question is should I be worried about the hydro slave cylinder and how often to they go bad. It is 300 dollars to replace it and would rather not spend the money on a possibility that it is part of the issue of the difficulty getting the car into gear. On the other hand it will cost 300 dollars to take everything back apart if just the new clutch does not fix it.

Opinions?

I am just wondering if anyone here that has had a clutch change had the same issues as me and where they resolved when the new clutch was put in.

Has anyone had issues with their slave cylinder?
