Because that isn't right! The car isn't even out yet? How can there be a rebate on a car that doesn't physically exist to purchase and drive off the lot. Instead of all the guessing, we wait till Wednesday, when I will post up the prices of all options and such when they become available to dealers? This way, we know its 100% factual and without doubt.

it just dawned on me, the discount is because it is being purchased through the military sales and they probably have wrongly referred to it as a rebate.

Thats possible, but calling it a rebate doesnt make sense at all. Plan buyers get a discount similar to what we have seen for the military, but they dont call it a rebate. Thats what sounds so weird, like they are talking to a newbie.

The GT track pack price is a total rip off. $1400 for pads and 3.73 gear and some $200 Stability control is rediculous. Imagine getting a 2010+ vert GT, it would cost more than 40K. Not to mention if you wanted the new upgrade wheels. This price range for the new mustang is getting near the G37 price range. The new options and features for new mustang are a plus that doesn't come without a price tag.

I dont think its ALL that far fetched to see a rebate of $500-1,000 right off the bat considering the current economy and the total drop of the ball with 315hp!

At 315hp its going to take more than new body panels to turn over some of the S197 owners, especially the ones who know about the 5.0, to me the 2011 is a MUCH bigger deal than the 2010, and its more than likely the 2011 that is going to be in high demand and with ADMS.

HAH. Can't wait for the GT500 price to drop that low. Most dealers in my area still think they can charge $20k over sticker and wonder why they have 4 of them in their showrooms right now in this economy after they've been out for almost 3 years. What a crock.

Back on the subject, I'm witholding final judgement till I see the car in person...at the LA Auto Show, which I'm pleased to say I'll get to go to this year

Considering pricing for a comparable Challenger or Camaro, the Mustang will be more affordable.

I swear, some folks don't listen. It's an exclusive Military Rebate not available to the general public and since the order guide is available now, it actually looks like what I originally posted pretty much matches what I was given, she had left off a couple of the options available though. See this link for rebates for military: http://www.encs.com/uploadedFiles/EN...s-11.04.08.pdf

Ah, I see now why some of the options didn't show up, the Track Pkg isn't available with the Glass roof and Shaker 1000, so since she put that on my quote she wasn't able to add the other two.

Eh, just received an email from my sales associate, it looks like the pricing they gave me is an estimate based on '09 pricing, so take the pricing with a grain of salt.

there's an article in today's autonews.com re the 2010 mustang gt. the head of the design team said the 4.6 would make 315hp on regular with added midrange torque if premium fuel is used. he also stated that the gt would have the same performance of the 07/08 bullitt model; in fact, he said the bullitt was the target car for the 2010 in terms of performance criteria.

i like the new interior over the current model but i'm not crazy about the squished rear end and the wacky tailight light sizes.
