Marty, I'm sure it was most definitely a long 4 months for you, as you get far more snow in Michigan than we do here in southwestern, PA
New front tires installed (Continental DW 285/40/18), with the old front tires moved to the rear (Goodyear F1 285/40/18).

They come stock on my truck, but as soon as I need tires,.....they're outta here. (Getting the B.F. Goodrich T/A KO2's.) No more Goodyucks for me, on either vehicle ever.

I assume there would be a substantial difference in both ride quality and quietness being as a 285/40/18 tire will provide much more of a taller sidewall over a 275/35/20

I hope Tony can get his mean green machine out soon too.
And yes, the BFG KO's are and have always been awesome tires.
I went with General Grabber AT2's on my Tundra, very similar tread pattern and performance, similar longevity, much less $$.
Gabe, those DW's sure look nice and meaty lol. Anyway have you by any chance noticed a substantial difference in ride quality since upgrading from the Nitto G2 275/35/20" tires to your Continental DW 285/40/18's ?
I assume there would be a substantial difference in both ride quality and quietness being as a 285/40/18 tire will provide much more of a taller sidewall over a 275/35/20

The 275/35/20's actually rode very smooth, I loved those tires overall.
The DW's, I haven't had on the highway yet, and I've only driven the car once on them so far, and it was about 30 degrees out, so I'd say I don't really have an idea yet about their comfort or handling or anything.
I'm 99% sure they're smoother/more-comfortable than the Goodyears, but that's certainly not hard.

I'm actually very surprised Gabe.. As I've actually been having second thoughts as to whether or not I made a mistake by staying with 20" tires rather than making the switch over to 18's thinking they would make a significant difference in ride quality/comfort due to having a taller sidewall over 20's.. So perhaps I was wrong about this and really have no reason for wanting to make the switch from my Nitto G2 275/35/20's in favor of 285/40/18's after all

Or are you looking to fix an issue?
I was able to take it almost 3 weeks ago now. Felt awesome.
I cannot wait for summer!!

It seems to corner and handle ok.. However I feel as though I'm inside of a tank, especially when going over bumps and uneven pavement surfaces.. But then again, that may be caused by the Eibach pro springs and Koni yellow's being adjusted between the soft and stiff settings rather than the Nitto 275/35/20 G2's themselves.. So perhaps by adjusting the Koni Yellows to the full soft setting might help improve ride quality 
Burton, with all the mods you've done on Marilyn.. You sure in the hell should be saying every spring.. "Whooooaaa this thing really GOES".

So go to full soft and then go from there.

At least now I know it's not from the 275/35/20 G2's Gabe and I thank you for confirming that.. In the meantime, I'll definitely go to full soft with the Koni's and hopefully that will make a difference.. I also recall your reasons for not being a fan of Eibach's in which you most definitely have a very valid reason without a doubt and in the event that any of them end up breaking.. I will replace them all with Steeda sport springs, as you can be assured of that

I'll never forget the pics you posted of those Eibach's that broke on you and ever since then, I check more often to make certain there still in one piece lol. Unfortunately the Eibach's were already on the car when I purchased it, otherwise I would've gone with Steeda sport springs from the very start.. Btw: do you happen to know who manufactures the sport springs for Steeda Gabe ?

When I bought the coilover rear spring set-up they offer with the adjustable rear spring perches, the springs they supplied were from Hypercoils:
