I love the color of your car Burton. Best blue ever! I hope they bring it back, I'm not a fan of the light blues out these lately. Even my beemer is a little to light blue for my taste.
Thanks Marty. Owning a German car is sometime in my future. That’s on the bucket list. I got 15 years till retirement so I’m planning on owning one before I die lol

as for the color, yes - I agree 100%. I knew the 13’s were coming out when I ordered her, back in late 11. But when I heard Kona Blue was going away, I knew I HAD to order it. Had to. No other blue I have seen comes close. This is what the paint looks like after I gave her a light polish this spring (yearly) - zoom in for effect lol. Sunlight, in this case my LED garage lights don’t lie

Good call! I think you would have eventually regretted the move. Glad to hear you are still with her!

ahh, the metallic fragments in the paint. Also I'm with Shaney. Good call keeping her.

I do like certain aspects of my M2, but I would lie if I said I didn't miss my the Mustang. Particularly at high RPM.

Here's a few pics of mine. Not cleaned, not detailed, as always.

Thanks guys... some day, I’ll have to sell her, with my oldest boy driving in 3-4 years, part of me wants to give this to him. But the wife says hell no. Lol

marty, that M2 is sweet looking. It’s smaller in all dimensions than the Pony? I love that blue too.

You know, someone at work was interested in buying my Mustang for their 16yo son. I told him no. I did not want to contribute to the death of this fine young man.

Anyways, yes, smaller in all dimensions. Trunk is the smallest (no biggie there), the back seat is just a tad smaller than the Mustang, front seats are about the same. Length of hood and overhangs are also smaller. It translates to only 156lbs less than the Pony. 3450 in the manual flavor. Unfortunately the HP is also smaller. 370 at the crank makes it 50 less than stock, and 90 less than my Steeda CAI/tuned car. And this is what I miss almost daily. Torque is good, there is a definite on-boost feeling at about 3500rpm, and it feels good. But the HP falls off about 5500 and you need to short shift to continue accelerating. Not a race car feeling.

On a positive side the car feels light and nimble. It changes direction as soon as you think about it, and it feels tight and ready to dart. The handling is magical. It's as if the Gods of physics, mechanical design and slyling came together and created this machine. It handles better than my Mustang with full Steeda suspension and adjustable dampers right out of the ****ing factory. Tremendous mechanical grip from 245 fronts and 265 rear tires. Also the cabin is a nice place to be in. Great fit and finish and a lot of carbon fiber-like materials. It's waaay better than the mustang. Good amount of cool tech too.

It sounds pretty good, with hidden exhaust modes with pops and burples, but the Coyote sounded better hands down. Also miss this every day.

So mixed bag. On the back roads here this is the chariot the Gods would ride in. Between the M suspension tuning and the active LSD which overdrives the outside wheel to completely eliminate understeer, there is not a thing I would change about the balance and handling. On the autobahn and the track I wish for extra 90hp and a different shape of the HP curve (more V8 like). Hint hint.

So just to throw this out there, when I get back to the States if I still need a rear seat I'm thinking GT350. If not, C7 Grand Sport. I recently realized I NEED a V8 in my life. They Coyote ruined me for lesser engines.

It has been a probably a year since I posted. Here is what she looks like in her current form. Not the best pic but was mainly interested in my new hood and latches when I took it. This was two days before the motor let go at Road America in October 2018. She has been parked since getting my spare motor rebuilt. I hope to get the car back this year still, jut in time for winter storage. She will certainly be back on the road/track in 2020.

He was a nut. I had NY plates he spun around over a center media and followed me to my hotel.
Just wanted to invite me to a local car show/street drag race they did there.

He kept apologizing for the way he dressed and that he forgot his guns.

Spilled his beer too chasing after me.

It was a good laugh. He was having fun that's for sure
