Yesterday's show in Pompton Lakes, NJ. Hotter than a MF'er, and that kept the turnout a little lighter than last year. It really pays to arrive early and find the only shady area to plunk down chairs and coolers. But the cars that did show were of really high quality.

I'll start with what should have won every award available. This '70 Boss 302 was a very recent and super high quality restoration. The detail was unreal, perfect in every respect.

Now that I've got the old videos out of the way, some new pics! Installed my Airaid CAI and Steeda tune. Definitely a different beast and haven't even used the 93 Octane version yet, still running the 87 Octane tune. Also cleaned up the engine bay a bit after the the intake swap and I think it looks good.

Nicely done! That sounds pretty good. I didn't know Roush made an exhaust for the V6. I like how your daughter (maybe?) was filming and giggling during the vid

You gotta cut the hood. Had a CDC shaker on my 2000 and loved it. I'm seriously considering getting one for my 2014 but can't decide if it works on the stock hood or not.

Here is a small video of my mustang with the Roush exhaust axlebacks and the MPT Ghost Cam tune. I see there were some pics and vids of this exhaust setup so I figured I'd join the party. I love the sound that these make.

hmmmm. I see. So you buy the "shaker" manifold, and it fits the Coyote? I figured it was only for the 4.6's. I didn't know they fit the 5.0's.

But regardless, I'm confused as to why he's calling it a Mach 1??? Reminds me of a guy I met at our car show this weekend. Super nice guy, great guy in fact. He had a '00 or '01 GT, can't remember which - but anyways, he bought a Vortech SC, and installed it and he did a great job on it. However, for the life of me, I can't understand why he bought a COBRA rear bumper (spoiler was still stock GT) and COBRA emblems on the front fenders (all wheels were still stock GT), then a COBRA steering wheel. Ugh - why do people do that. I can't understand. Again, nice guy and all, but he was very proud of his "Cobra". I couldn't stomach telling him what I "really" thought. I can't do that.

That sounds evil! Did the mpg drop a lot? I heard that really kills it?

?
Yeah they have a 5.0 version now. It's a pretty easy install after you get over the fact you need to take a jigsaw to your hood.

I'll assume he'll post his reasons. Similar to the Fauxbra he probably just wants it to look like a Mach 1. I'm not a fan of doing that kind of thing but I see it all the time on the roads. When I added the shaker to the 2000 GT I got a little bit of hey you got a Mock 1 there even though I did not badge it as such. LOL!

The MPGs improved over my previous tune. The mileage drop mostly comes from the 305s and the 3.73 rearend haha. I can get 24mpg on the highway at 70-75mph but I normally see 17mpg with everyday driving. Now that I have a daily driver (2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 5-speed) I can get 31mpg highway and 25mpg everyday driving with that. Saves miles and gas $$ from driving the Mustang everyday since I hit 55,000 miles on the Mustang already.

I would highly recommend anyone with a v6 to drop in some 3.73 gears and a good tune. Definitely wakes the car up!

Yeah, I'm scratching my head over that one. It was a judged show but no specific classes...just genres and basics like best engine, best interior, etc. Some of the categories were first, second, and third, plus a best overall for certain categories.

My trophy was a first place for Best Paint, but a street rod won Best Paint Overall, so I guess technically mine was second best. Still it was odd that a modern muscle car with factory paint should win in that category. There were so many other cars much more deserving of a trophy than mine.

Ain't gonna look a gift horse in the mouth though.

I really like this shot. The angle of the sun and reflection of surrounding scenery gives your SGM a bronze-ish tone.
