Its amazing that a 2015 Track Pack with IRS is inferior to a 2013 Boss. Ford must've really gotten it wrong.

 

Just how is the 15 with IRS and track pack inferior compared to the Boss 302 ?
IIRC the previous owner stated it was just too civilized for his liking and wanted a Boss from the beginning anyhow.. However I don't recall anything in his post being mentioned about the 15 being inferior in comparison, but rather interpreted his definition of civilized as more along the lines of being too refined IMHO

 

Yeah, I dont know if I would say inferior. More like luxury sports car vs muscle car.

Best way I have found to put it into words was that I wanted to take the 15 on a road trip. I wanna take the Boss to the track.

That's how I compare them as well.. As I'd love to have both the S550 and my current S197, but don't have the garage space nor do I want car payments again either.. And as much as I like the new S550, I still prefer the retro styling of the 05-14 S197 Mustangs more..

So IMHO you really nailed it in your description spot on about the S550 as being more like a luxury sports coupe vs the 05-14 S197 as more the traditional muscle/pony car

Absolutely, if I could have kept both I would have. Nothing wrong with the S550 at all, it is what it is. When I traded in my Lightning, I wanted a Boss. Couldn't afford it. Bounced a couple times and then landed on one finally.

 

I totally agree and understand exactly where your coming from, as I had to trade in my 93 SVT Cobra so that I could get my first S197 GT back in 05 because there was just no way that I could afford to keep both cars..

In the meantime, congrats on finally getting your Boss 302, as she's absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure was definitely well worth the wait
