Power will come, but as I said, my starting point here is well past anything I've had before. I had a 325 WHP supercharged 1998 Grand Prix, but that was stolen over 10 years ago. This is a different animal altogether. ![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
MGW: Here's the thing, I like the throws on the stock shifter. They're as short as my Legacy which has a short throw shifter, I just didn't like the rubbery vagueness. That's also why I'm starting with a $15 bushing. Get rid of the worst of it, get to know her, and see how I feel about it. I drove (briefly) a 2012 V6 Mustang with a short throw (unknown brand) and did NOT like it. Too short. I like a fairly sharp gated feel, but not light-switch throws. I may upgrade the entire bracket to a barton or whatever, but if I end up going to a short throw, I will do an MGW. There's absolutely no question. Having researched it, there is no alternative.
Plus, I also need to figure out the rim situation. If the track pack wheels were 9.5's or staggered, I wouldn't bother. But 9" is too narrow even though I love the style. They need to sit out wider, but I dislike spacers. So at some point I will do rims. Leaning to AG's right now. But rims are waaaay down the list. After suspension...tied with Power right now.![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

i was seriously considering ordering a clutch line AND MGW shifter to get rid of the plagued issues that i've read about misshifts and notchy feeling when shifting hard at high revs.
I've only put on a little over 250KM so far and took it no the highway today for the first time. I've already done some pretty hard shifts (around 6k RPM) from 1-2 and 2-3 and i can honestly say that, no grinding, no notchyness shifts and haven't missed yet.
I can't see the issues that others have described. i'm wondering if issues are resident to a GT because of the power difference between the V8 and V6?
i don't know. all i know is that the car is perfect so far and is behaving as i had expected.. it absorbs the road better than my wives santa Fe and yet, is as nimble as a mouse around corners (thank god for the performance pack
![Thumb](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
maybe the issues may crop up as i keep driving it. i have 250km's of road on Sunday and another 300km Monday... I just hope that i don't get into trouble along the way.
even this morning, jumped on the 401 and hit nearly 160km (100mph) and i wasn't trying :S
I'm happy that I only have a sixer, I don't think i could behave behind the wheels of a GT!

Speaking of non-Mustang Ford SUVs, took my old man to see my Mustang sales guy today so he could put in an order for a 2014 Edge Limited AWD in Kodiak Brown.

Looks fantastic, love that gray but I'm biased.

Not our pic but will look exactly the same with the pano roof and the 20" chromies: Should make a nice upgrade over his '01 Expedition he bought new back in the day.

Weirdly though, we discovered a tear in his driver seat already. I attribute that to one of the dooshes in the shop or his installer of the bed liner etc.

They're chrome-clad wheels, not chromed aluminum.
They glue a chromed plastic layer onto the raw aluminum wheels.
It lasts longer and looks the same.
Tap on it with your finger and they feel like plastic, but you canNOT remove that plastic layer without destroying the rim.
Manufacturers have been doing it for over a decade, and lots of them, not just Ford

Lol, congrats, I love mine. They're not hub caps. They're chrome-clad wheels, not chromed aluminum. They glue a chromed plastic layer onto the raw aluminum wheels. It lasts longer and looks the same. But plastic chrome glued, on aluminum wheels, still feels tricked to me. But I should have done more research before I bought the car...
Thanks for correcting and clearing that up Gabe !

I would sell off those MMD hood struts and get the real thing, the Redline Tuning set. Much stronger and 2 minutes to install, without taking apart your hood hinge bolts

As for the Barton, nice, but save up and just get the MGW. Why settle with anything less?
