Thank you Thank you

By Monday, I will have clocked around 500KM if not more. I conveniently have planned to head out to our Mississauga and Richmond Hill office. which will be half of that alone!

isn't it wonderful to get paid mileage to break-in my car??

I have to admit. the ride on the car so far is pretty comfy with the performance pack and 19" RIMS.

it handles really well. Yes - I haven't really done much today other than show off the car and read the manual and drive around in it today lol!!!!!

I've been purposely driving over crappy road condition (60km/h ish) and it feels really good.

If he has the sort of luck I have, he'll have Cops waiting at the dealership to write him up

How about a latest video?

Just installed MonzterAuto's harnesses that make the tails light up sequentially when braking, locking and unlocking the car, as well as the turn-signal function

Pretty much.

I take delivery tomorrow. It was due to arrive today, so I made an appointment to go in at 1:30 today to get the paperwork done so whenever they had it ready, today, Saturday, Monday...just plate and go. Pulled around the building on my way out and there's my car backing off the truck.

Nice car!
Congratulations. Now you can bolt on all those parts you've been collecting over the past few weeks :-)

Thanks! I've already got a plan...partially influenced by the rain that started falling about 3 hours ago and isn't supposed to let up for about 5 days... all mechanical stuff this weekend. Then when I'm bored, start work on the appearance stuff, one thing at a time. Though with all the rain coming up, could accelerate my plan.

For starters it's mostly noise and appearance.

GT500's, Boss Quads, I'm giving the Energy Suspension shifter bushing a go, and a Moroso separator. I've got Boss brake lines, but I'm already second guessing myself and thinking I should go stainless. Stainless lines are FANTASTIC with Brembo's, at least on the Subaru STi's I've driven with & without them. Aside from the shifter slop, I liked the action on the car I test drove, so for now that's all I'm doing mechanically. I've got side scoops, quarter louvres, and the MMD decklid panel...on a black car, that back end looks like a wall of black. Hood struts, shift ****, and I couldn't resist the Boss coil covers. Oh yeah, and a shorty antenna. I am ashamed of the above list, for both it's length, being that I don't have the car yet, and its lack of mechanical components. But appearance work can be done from pictures. Exhaust can be done (mostly) from videos. Really digging into the mechanicals requires a relationship. Like dating vs. facebook stalking.

Who knows what else I'll do. Definitely suspension, but you can't upgrade that until you get a feel for the girl and get to know her a little bit. And for power, This is the most powerful car I've owned by a decent margin, so that will probably come last.

Power will come, but as I said, my starting point here is well past anything I've had before. I had a 325 WHP supercharged 1998 Grand Prix, but that was stolen over 10 years ago. This is a different animal altogether.

MGW: Here's the thing, I like the throws on the stock shifter. They're as short as my Legacy which has a short throw shifter, I just didn't like the rubbery vagueness. That's also why I'm starting with a $15 bushing. Get rid of the worst of it, get to know her, and see how I feel about it. I drove (briefly) a 2012 V6 Mustang with a short throw (unknown brand) and did NOT like it. Too short. I like a fairly sharp gated feel, but not light-switch throws. I may upgrade the entire bracket to a barton or whatever, but if I end up going to a short throw, I will do an MGW. There's absolutely no question. Having researched it, there is no alternative.

Plus, I also need to figure out the rim situation. If the track pack wheels were 9.5's or staggered, I wouldn't bother. But 9" is too narrow even though I love the style. They need to sit out wider, but I dislike spacers. So at some point I will do rims. Leaning to AG's right now. But rims are waaaay down the list. After suspension...tied with Power right now.

Congrats Lakeguy. I remember the wait was the hardest thing. Take a couple days off and go drive her. I've had mine 2 years now and love it as much as the day I got her.

What AG's are you looking at? I like several of their styles.

All of them.

I love their finishes mostly, leaning towards something in hypersilver. There's too much black on black or charcoal on black. I'd consider something similar to the color of the track pack wheels, but haven't really found anything that catches my eye. So hypersilver AG's it'll likely eventually be.

The Dark Stainless SVEs (RTR lookalikes) from Late Model Resto would look really good. They just came out. AG has similar styles too. I wish LMR offered that finish on something else, as the 7 twin-spoke mesh wheels are super popular on the S197s, but they still look great. I just love that finish. It's basically the same as the Brembo wheels with a little more flake in the paint.

Ooooh those are nice. I'd prefer a 19 or 20 staggered fitment though. But that finish is really nice.

Yeah I want to go staggered 20s too, but this is hard to beat for the money and the ability to rotate still:

Plus you could just get the wheels and throw your stock tires on for now...

Very nice. I like their M310 in Hyper, the new M580, and M590. They offer a lot of really nice custom colors too at a reasonable price. Found this link on their colors. The brushed stainless is killer IMHO, and for a standard color the satin silver isnt too bad.
