None at all. First thing I tried 
both xm and radio. Even inside my garage it was fully functional. I don't know why ford just doesn't eliminate the antenna totally. Heck my 2002 civic had the antenna built in to rear window glass similar to the heating elements.

I've had cars with antennas built into the glass and found their reception to be less than desirable?!?

I agree really. I actually love the look of the current antenna, for what it is of course. Nothing would be the only thing better. But not that halved stub thing.

Lol, I've been up since 5AM after not going to bed till 11 last night, waiting for the ex-gf and her daughter to get home after having dinner with the guy she was seeing before me which she's now started talking with again, 3 days after we broke up.
