14' 5.0 Whistling noise from motor

So for the past 2-3 days in the morning after I turn on my car I hear this whistling noise coming from the motor and then goes away after its been on for a few minutes. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I only have 266 miles on it.

It could be your stock or CAI making the noise

Stick, right?
Does the noise persist in neutral?

I'm thinking trans.

@MRGTX. Yes it's a stick, but it also does it in 1st and goes away after the car has been on for a while (after warm).

I've made an appt at my local dealer.

Does your engine have a large growth protruding from the top?

It's a new car and it will make all kinds of strange noises and smells.

i just had a fresh mt-82 tranny put in my car and i have the whistle sound too but mine is constant it sounds like amini supercharger whine pretty badass if you ask me but its only when the throttle is applied. and that is becaue it is a new tranny, i wouldnt worry about it too much it will go away once your car is broken in the sound will go away

What I can tell you is this.. TAKE IT TO YOUR DEALER if it isn't normal.

My wife's brand new Santa Fe got an engine rebuild because of Teflon coating wear and the engine sounded like a 90's TDI Jetta or worse. We thought it was because we bought it and during the winter seasons and waited till after our first oil change. If I had returned it as soon as we noticed it, I would have demanded a NEW car instead of getting an engine rebuild on our brand new car.

Open up your air filter box and check if anything got sucked into the box on the other side of the filter. Also check the fan shroud and radiator area for debris.
