I must have killed the pic. My first mod is the rear panel blackout. It's the polycarbonate piece from moss motors (GTS perhaps ??)

I'll edit the post and put the pic back on photobucket !

Blown - happy to see the younger crowd appreciates Zepplen - I saw them in person in the late 70's (5th row center stage) AWESOME concert!!

I did have a question, on your interior pic it looks as if you have the graphite seats/door panels and parchament carpeting? Could be just the lighting?

Enjoy your new stang - looks great
HOTLAP Lets see some pics of your new Stang! Can't ever get enough of Vista Blue Stangs, LOL.

My Dad gave me the "How the West was Won" CD/DVD set a couple years ago and I've been a Zeppelin fan ever since. The DVD is cool but seeing them live must have been AWESOME.

The interior picture is just a lighting issue, it's a standard Light Graphite with Charcoal IPU. This picture is a little truer.

And a couple of her with her new stripes and grill

That first disc of them at Royal Albert Hall, I think, from 69 just kills me. Everytime I watch it I am simply blown away, especially when you think how young they were.

That is a nice Vista Blue !! I'm liking the stipes a lot.

Austin,

Awesome looking car. First GT package I've seen with stripes.

Is that a Cervini grille?
What are your stripe width and gap?

Thanks for the kind words Guys, it really means a lot to me when it comes from people that see lots of modded Stangs. We still need to get the lowering springs installed though, they're sitting on the workbench, maybe this weekend. My Dad has been a big part of helping me decide on "the look". He's been a car guy all his life and even when I was very young he would always include me when he worked on cars. Looks like he's managed to pass his passion on to me, LOL.

AFBLUE Yes, it's a Cervini grille, we still have some adjusting to do to get it to fit correctly. The stripes are from BSM http://www.baltimorestreetmods.com/05stanggraph.htm , the 10" precut stripes in Silver Metallic with a 2" gap. It's a pretty easy install, just plan on going slow. We spent a couple days working on it a little at a time. The hardest part was doing the scoop, my Dad worked with it for a very long time to get the stripes worked down around the sides and back corners. If you get real close you can see a couple flaws on the scoop, but a few feet away it looks perfect.

Austin,

Just curious why it's difficult to get the Cervini grille to fit correctly. I noticed that it sticks out further on the bottom than on the top. I guess it's not a straight forward install.

It's not that it's a difficult install, the grill mounts easily with 4 self-taping screws that screw directly into the bumper cover after the OME grill is removed. It's just that I'd like to see it mounted a little more securely, seems like the screws could pull out of the bumper cover. The alignment problem is 100% my fault and easily fixed, just remove the top screws and re-position the grill. I didn't even notice it until I was looking at the pictures, my bad, LOL.

I noticed that most of the Stangs for 06 and 07 require 2-3 months time from the order day to the sale date. Do SE MI customers get their factory orders faster due to the distance from Flat Rock, MI?

I ordered my car from Brooklyn Ford Oct 22 2005, the car was delivered March 22 2006. built march 21 2006. I was on hold til december because of the 18 inch bullits, but when they came in, the was short order on the manual trannies.

metroplex,

The dealer I ordered mine from is about a hour's drive from Flat Rock. It took exactly 8 weeks from order to delivery.

Bonus was that they just sent it on the car hauler, no rail shipping. I actually saw it being unloaded as I drove by the dealer that evening, and had a chance to admire it from afar, though I wasn't a fan of how hard they unloaded the car off the hauler.

I am working on a 1/25 Revell model kit and am using the True Blue Pearl. It matches my Snell M-00 racing helmet and looks like a close match to the real Vista Blue Metallic.

Nice stripes!

I won't be getting any because I saw them in person at the dealership and its nothing more than vinyl stickon stuff. I vowed never to have vinyl stick on decals/stripes on a car.
