I have a TG GT on order, well it should have been built today, and I finally got to see Tungsten in person. It was quite overcast, but WOW what a color, I can not wait to get mine in. The one I saw was a V-6 Pony Package, auto, dark charcoal int, 17" Bullits. Looked great! I almost wanted to say give it to me now, but I really want the GT, so hopefully in a couple weeks...
Also, anyone in the Atlanta area, There is a white with blue stripes Ford GT on the showroom floor at Hardy Ford in Dallas on 120! BEAUTIFUL Car!! If you go to see it, beware of the drool spot on the floor that I left there.

You didn't make a mistake.
It's not like the car is Barney purple with yellow daisies painted all over it.
It's got an ever-so-slight violet hue to it.
Just enough to be visable in certain types of lighting conditions/angles.
But it is most assuredly grey.
I think a lot of people are freaking because it doesn't look exactly like the pics they've seen of the '04 show car.
It doesn't look like those pics, because those pics were taken in extreme lighting conditions (overhead lighs, flashes, etc.).
PLUS, no pic that you see online will ever replicate a car's color exactly.
If it's about splitting hairs with you, then go to a dealership that has any TG Mustang and look at it in various types of lighting conditions.
If you truly hate it then change your order.
But ponder this: Is a slight violet hue enough to make a car "girlie?"
I mean, think of some of the color schemes guys choose for their classic restores.
Purple, Baby Blue, Aquamarine, etc.
I would not think twice about calling any one of those classics in a so-called "girlie" color anything but bad_ss.

If having a slightly purple hue to it qualifies it as girlie, then all the sonic blue owners out there are driving around in girlie cars. When did it become cool to not like something just because a certain group or demographic like it? Uh oh! Teenage girls all like my car. Can't be caught dead driving around in this thing!

Why does it matter who likes what color or what anyone else thinks of the color of your car? As long as you like it, who cares if someone else calls it girlie?

I think the Tungsten will look good. I was in Detroit today and saw several on car carriers going down the highway. Don't know what all the fuss is about with Tungsten.

I don't think you're seeing anyone concerned about what others think. They're concerned about that they're getting the color they thought they ordered.

Do some legwork, call around to every dealership within driving distance, and go see the color for yourself before plunking down 30K.
