to a man they all say the sonic is too "teenager" ,
huh? im a teenager but im not too fond of blue. its nice, but not for me. since when did blue become the teenager color. its black, torch, or white for me (until Comp Orange makes its comback!)

not trying to be offensive, just wondering where that statement came from

This thread would be wise to heed this advice...."Never get into an argument with an idiot...they'll soon bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience."
I'm forced to agree!

bullittman,

If I was to order now (bad timing), I would get one like yours (sonic blue, spoiler delete, bullitt wheels).

I think I would go with a tan interior, just to be a little different (can't tell your interior color but it looks dark)

And no I'm not a teenager

Yep, I've shared quite a bit with my car buddies concerning my color choice. And to a man they all say the sonic is too "teenager" , which is the opinion I also had when first looking at it.. Probably would be my 2nd last choice, with yellow the absolute last choice.

Good luck with your car.

funny thing is, most teenagers either buy black or red cars.
Funny thing is, black is considered ANYTHING but a teenager color.. Limousines are black or white, they are colors for the distinguished.. I have yet to see a "sonic blue" limo .. Give me a break .

I have also yet to see a sonic blue Mercedes 600 or SL500, most are, again, black.

Ferrari markets their cars in red . A car that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.. Yes, the viper marketed their car this color as well. The ford GT ? We see red in more than half the pictures.. Again, the prices of these cars are way more than what any "teenager" can afford .

Let me reiterate, I have had 4 friends say the sonic is "too teenage" or "too teeny-bopper" and 3 others say it's too "kids" or "kiddy".. Little boys all want their room painted blue, the color blue is synonymous with little boys . As little girls want their rooms painted "pink" ..

Now, for all I care you can put little pink polka-dots all over your car ,I really don't care... But black is anything BUT considered a "teeny-bop" or "kiddy" color" .. Whereas the sonic blue is , very much so ..

. [/b][/quote]
That is the most rediculous rant I have ever heard, hard to stay composed while reading that.

It is a three stage paint. Blue base, crushed pearl , then a laser tinted clear coat. The crushed pearl gives you blue, pink, and a silver glow, with the laser tint clear coat, its now purple.

Wow, so much over a color.

Although, color has a lot to do with the person. Now, I am just stating generalizations here, NOT facts.

Lighter blues can tell you that person is very calm, very easy going, almost serene.
Brighter blue mean cool, crisp, fresh, happy, but a bright happy.
Red is for passionate people, those who are not afraid to stand out, be singled out, and be noticed even when quite.
Yellow is for happy people, the kind of people you see singing in the shower in the morning, the kind of people who also have homes with lots of windows.
Browns are people who are grounded, realistic.
Black is for the mysterious, can be broody, sometimes dark personalities, but also a person who wants to blend in, and go unoticed.
For all those wondering, PURPLE is the color of the rich, the royal. Which, incidentally is what I will be painting my car, so :P! (A lot of people will mistake the SB for purple, things that make you go hmmmm)

The sonic blue reminds me of Monte Carlo blue, which is VERY popular for race cars, and car enthusiasts.

Yes, Limo companies and BMW and MB sell ALOT of black cars. But, having lived in Southern Orange county, I saw a LOT of MB and BMW with a color close to the Sonic Blue. Especially verts, and they looked very good.

The only other generalization I would make about Sonic is that I thought it would be more popular with the ladies, but having seen some of the mens Sonics here, I am not correct in that statement. I know that Adrenalin is masculine, and his car is still probably my favorite 05 to date.

I have yet to see a Sonic 05 in person. I like the pics, I can only imagine how beautiful it is in person. I was never WB fan, until I saw it in person. If I werent going to be painting mine custom, I would have gotten a SB. And I am far from being a TEEN! LMAO!

K, /rant off

Sonic Blue is just a color, it doesn't represent anything. You choose a color because you like it, I personally like Sonic Blue would of been my color of choice if it were not for the Torch Red. By the way ADRENALIN nice car, love the color combo, looks great with the stripes.

I saw a bunch of colours lined up at the dealer and IMO the red with the red leather interior was the sharpest looking of the bunch. Red just isn't my color. My wife and 2 teenage daughters liked the WV blue and legend lime but I bought the Sonic Blue because I thought the car looked better in the darker colors.

Color is a subjective thing so buy what you like and don't worry what others think.

Ha Ha...No teen here either B) . It's the dark charcoal, the tan would be a real contrast, thats for sure. Good luck in your car hunt

Jessica....after reading your post I am going to have to paint my car Tye-dye. Why...because I am a

Very easy going, cool happy person who is passionate about singing in the shower. Growing up I was "grounded" alot becuase I was "not afraid" to moon the neighbours from our "house full of windows". I tend to be mysterious and the realistic side of me says "if you keep spending all of your cash on toys you will never be rich" :P

Christopher, awesome stripes! Are they paint or vinyl? I'm looking to get them painted, but a friend of mind swears vinyl is better... but he is a WRX guy and I'm not sure what to make of his opinion.
Rob, they are vinyl so I'll be getting them done again down the line, but they do set the car off nicely, and much cheaper than getting the painted. I paid 350 for the stripes, 7 year guarantee.

Thanks!
