I thought I wanted a red one too and had one on order. I settled for the PW when I found one on a lot and bought it. I was going to do a red with white stripes but I absolutely love the color scheme I have now. This car is soo hot, I can't believe the attention I get with it. So enjoy your vert.

Be sure to put sequential turn signals on it. A real head turning mod for less than $100.

My 66 was a show stopper. No one could walk past it and I know I will never have that again. The 06 will be a driver. I want to travel with it. I am getting a little tired of car shows these days.

I was going to get red, but wasn't sure about the match with the interior with Torch Red or Redfire. I also didn't know about how the black top would look with the red and white. I saw a white one on the Great American Pony Drive in June and was sold. I have always like white and I thought the red interior really popped with it. I thought about red stripes (reminds me of a Cobra II) but I think they detract from the interior.

I am thinking about charcoal LeMans stripes like "robynspony" with a charcoal GT350 side stripe. CDC will get my order first thing for a light bar and sequencals.

I want to keep it simple and will replace the GT logos with tribar horses and put the small rectangle GT 350 logo that was used on 65 & 66's on the back and on the dash. This way I don't think I'll be accused of trying to "make a Shelby", but will have some of the look.

I will use the Roush hood scoop and Cervini's side scoops. I also like the Boss front spoiler shown in the Sept MM.

I bought two 05 grills off ebay to experiment with. I want to try cutting out all the honeycomb and replace it with one of the billet kits. This way it sits back in where it should be. I will then paint the fogs and surrounds silver with a chrome edge and use the polished foglight rings. The goal is to make it look like a 66 grill instead of a 65.

I am thinking about a intake cover and the chrome cam cover from FMP. I am going to make an orange 281 sticker and use a chrome pony on it.

I will get a CAI of some kind and probably a Flowmaster kit. I will replace the shifter with the Hurst withe white ball. I am also eyeing a white gauge overlay on ebay. I haven't seen anyone use it yet. I might have to take one for the teem.

I have not heard anything else about the car but am encouraged by the post a few above that ordered on 7/18 and has a 8/22 week build. That and I live in Michigan so shipping shouldn't take forever.
