I'll me too that. I got my Zaino products in couple days ago. Wonder how much shine it will give the performance white.
I'd be interested to hear if it makes much of a difference on white.

[attachmentid=32538]Who would have ever thunk it that PW would be the rarest seen of the "primary" colors? I've only seen one other PW besides mine in the last 6 months.

And how about the IUP & red leather with the PW? Just like I dreamed it would be before I ordered it!

The only thing I would improve is making the side view mirrows PW as well. I haven't been on this site in ages, so please forgive if this is an often-covered subject, but anyone know if these are available already painted?

Regards,
Barry

Car looks great, Barry.
No the mirrors aren't available painted. There are a few people who have had theirs painted and they look pretty good. No one has done PW yet, though.
One option you might want to look into is only painting the top half of the mirror. Another one is a cover that someone makes (Steeda, or Saleen, or Roush. I forget who) that you can paint and then put on the mirror. It doesn't have the stock shape and it looks terrible in my opinion.

It's Xenon that makes the goofy looking covers I was talking about.
Also, here's a pic of some half-painted mirrors.

I'm for sure getting my mirrors painted (also the lower front grill area, like on the Ford Racing white car), so I will post pix as soon as I get it done. And, duh, after I get my car...........

Peter, you the man!!! You/your car are the reason I went with white!!! This is the first time I've noticed you only have half white mirrors, is there a reason why you did not go with fully painted mirrors??

(This is kind of funny, because I have all of your pixs saved and I've never noticed this)

Hey Peter, when'd you paint the mirrors? It's been a while since I've seen any new pics of your car.

You're not the only one with his pics saved, Luke.

BTW, are you sure you want to paint your mirrors white? Lots of bugs here in the south and our mirrors catch most of them.

Thanks for the info, Nut. I like the cover idea because I want to keep my car stock and so anything I do, I want to be able to "undo." But yeah those specific covers you posted are not the way I want to go. Hopefully someone will come up with a different one that has the stock shape.

Check out eBay. I saw a stock set on there the other day. Paint those and reinstall the originals if you ever want to go back to unpainted.

At this point, I'm not sure of anything!!! But that is a good point, something I will have to ponder until my car gets here. I really like them painted though......

The mirror-mode was done in April. Take a look at the Ford fivehundred. There you can see where the idea came from. Of
course I keep the originals without modification and ordered new ones for this job! Next pics will come soon with some suspension and tire mods!

I'm going to the body shop on Thursday, any questions I should ask about painting the mirrors and the lower grill area (the frowny part)?

Luke,
I am not sure what you are going to paint besides the front facia and mirrors but I can tell you from my experience that a good body shop will remove the bumper covers to do a proper paint stripe job.

I debated painting the grill but the body shop I went to talked me out of it because of the softness of the plastic grill. He said it would peel in less than a year no matter what he prepped it with. (I wanted to copy the picture below)

The mirrors are a matter of taste But I think they look really really big when painted. You will notice that the windows are really small vertically which enhances the size issue.

Here is a picture from Ford Racing with the facia and mirrors painted.

Note that the painted mirror looks like it is half the height of the window.

Here it is on my car and it doesn't look so big in black.

Good luck whatever you decide. My 2 cents worth.

Dave, it's funny that you posted that pix. That's the very pix I already have to take to the body shop. I've gone back and forth about with the mirrors, but in the end I think I want them painted. I'll ask about the front facia, that's a good point, I don't know if I want to be going back every year to get a re-paint. Want the sizing of your rocker panel stripes??
