OK if I had the whinny R&P replaced under TSB 05-20-02 did they replace the clutches? There is no PN on my invoice other than the R&P two shims and fluids.

Good advice KC but what did you mean by "less material" on the clutch plates?

Be aware that the carbon fiber clutch plates have less material, and these are OEM-equipped on 03-04 Cobras, 05-up GTs, and the 07-up GT500. These are supposedly more effective than the standard clutch plates (which have more material) that have been used since 1986.

Think of a New Set of Brake Shoes Vs a Worn Set. Less Material

FYI My Shelby Has a Very Noisy Posi! That means It's Working!

So it would be better to just add more friction modifier than have them replaced, because i have the same problem.

Carbon Fiber vs standard clutches.

I have never heard of Ford using new replacement clutch packs that are "worn out".

My 07 GT has a very quiet Traction-Lok and I never had to add any friction modifier.

If you have the Rubbing Sound when making a Tight Turn I would Say Yes. Consider it an Aggressive Posi. If you Have Rear Axle Noises under other Driving Conditions it could be somthing else.
