Update
It's a Rainy weekend in Sunny California and we are catching our breath after this 6 month Roller Coaster Ride. Andrew has spent a lot of time redoing his room to his liking.
We are all just very drained and trying to get back to as normal a routine as possable. So many things were put on hold during this journey and we are now having to attend to them.
In my mind it's not if Andrew gets back to normal but when. We still have to be very careful with his super low immune system but he did go out to local Gamestop on his own yesterday. Gloved and Masked of course but I think the more normal things he does the better it is for his recovery.

Kevin, my wife kept the hand sanitizer in all the cars and trucks, if i went out, i had to wash. Every time, period. Just keep em clean, and sanitized, keep up the vitamins .
Great news as well. Take care.

Now if that doesn't show this site the determination of Andrew, I don't know what else would bring a smile to your face as I am ear to ear right now. I just sent the family a Thanksgiving card and already created a card for the joyful holiday coming right around the corner. Awesome news Kevin! Give Andrew a High 5 from me would ya!

So what can we say about Andrews turnaround, was it The Prayer Service, The Aloe remedy, The fact he got his dream car, Mom & Dad being there and refusing to give up on him or the Thousands of people praying and pulling for him. Was it one Thing or two or All. I don't know but we are going to keep doing what we are doing and Trusting God the results. It all starts there with God and having the people and circumstances being put in our path.
I post these links so others going down this path can utilize them as needed. I would be remiss if I did not. Andrews Story is for a reason. It shows there is always hope. It shows how much a bunch of mustang lovers care about others. It shows a lot of good in a world of disarray. It is a ministry by God's design & not mine.
The story is far from over & I expect more miracles to manifest for years to come.

This is where we took Andrew for Prayer Healing. The Director was my Boss years ago at Razzari Ford. Our parts staff Used to go to morning prayer Breakfasts before work. This was during Andrews first bout with leukemia.
John my former Boss was kind enough to let me keep my job & let me work 4 days a week to help with Andrew's care. He was always a good & kind supervisor.

This is the natural remedy we have been using with Andrew. His Doctors comment was it certainly could not hurt to use in his case. We were told about it by a kindly lady named Connie that Daytona George knows. My sister has been battling cancer as well and is going to give it a try.

Kevin, I pray to the man upstairs everyday for your family and Andrew Casey. How is the project car coming, the one in the shop? I want you to know I love this fella with all my heart and I have never met the Casey family. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, I hope this is the beginning to a leash on Andrew's life. God Bless

YAY!!! I can see the joy in your words
Mr. BlueSkyVert went for his 90 day PET scan this morning, and I took strength from your ongoing posts. We have been clean since 1/2 way through chemo (March) but I feel like we are always looking over our shoulder. But I don't have to tell YOU about that!
You and your family are my role models
Sending another donation now, along with my hugs and hopes!!!

The Daytona is down. The car was originally a four speed and when it was converted to an automatic they just left the hole open put down some duct tape and glued the carpet down. I discovered this when I was under the car working on the Trans pressure linkage. I took out the carpet to make a patch and discovered the entire floor pan is rusted badly and they had just sprayed undercoating everywhere to cover it.They had also glued the carpet padding to the floor and it's like shaving gorilla hair to get to the undercoating. I have been working on it all week. The more I grind the more I find! Lol~ The Carpet was the floorpan on the drivers side. The darn undercoating also takes forever to get off to repair the rust. When I am done it will be safe and sanitary.
George had somebody else check this car out before he bought it but they did not know what to look for on an old dodge. This is usually a rust trouble area. The seller was not very honest in my humble opinion.
We still love the car & will fix all the issues as time goes on. Just wish my assistant was fully recovered so we could do this together but at least he can supervise! Just glad to have him with us period. He repaired similar floorpan Issues on his 72 by himself a year or two ago.
Thanksgiving will truly be a time of thanks for the casey's. We will also be Overjoyed to celebrate Andrew's 21st Birthday come the 23rd of Dec. That is somthing a month ago that seemed impossible. Andrew does not seem that old as he is just getting his whiskers and his general manner. The years of illness seems to have put him in a time bubble of sorts. He seems 18 at best. He has been sheltered from the outside world on both his leukemia battles. He is as sweet and innocent as he looks. But on another level due to the Illness he has a maturity and understanding that far surpasses his chronological age. He is a very deep thinker that does not share his feelings often or easily. Kind of a paradox that makes for a very loveable and likable young man.

Kevin, I would like to make another small donation to Andrew but I would like it to go for car parts (or related) for the Daytona. Can we use the previous paypal acct or is there an easier way? I just would like him to have some extra cash for car related parts or expenses instead of med related expenses...for a nice change of pace

Update
Andrew is doing well and goes in tomorrow for a check up. I am counting on some improvments in the labs.
On a side note The computer I used to use at work for all my Mustang Sales was my personal property and has sat idle since july at home and I hooked it up at home today. Lots of great memories from dealing with all my mustang friends and customers. Seems like a lifetime ago. Thanks so much for being the best customers / friends a parts guy could ever have. Hope I can get back at it in some way in the future.

Great news indeed!
Now that's as bad as the 90 Mustang I fixed the brake lines last year.
