Not that i would ever buy a performance volvo anyway.. I do think it is good to have to compete with their competetors.

 

I think this was the problem they were having: Everyone liked that VOlvo had R models, but barely anyone actually bought them.

"R" you kidding? oh well, they were nice to look at.

 

Put simply the people who buy Volvo's don't want what an R Model brings to the table.

 

"R" models simply fly in the face of what people feel about Volvo. Volvo generally stands for safety. "R" or "Race" is to many people (especially those that buy Volvos) UNsafe. The two never managed to play well together.

 

To be honest, I'm sad to see them go, especially the V70R. Plus, I was really hoping for a C30R with 300HP!
